Large Photo Layout...

Hello again!  I am back today to share another layout with you.  This time my layout features an 8 x 10 photo.  I had not originally ordered this photo when placing an order for my daughter's 3rd Birthday pictures, mainly because I didn't even know it existed when I was going through the proofs.  But I was so happy when I saw this photo added in with my order by mistake, because it captures a softness that the other photos did not.  My only thing was that it was an 8 x 10, a size I very rarely work with on layouts, but I was up for the challenge...  While this layout is a very straight forward and clean layout I really love it...

Supplies Used:
Patterned Paper, Sentiment, and stickers: Glitz Design (Cape Diem and New 77)
Glitter Paper: American Crafts
Heart and Circle Punches: EK Success
Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh
Rhinestones: TPC Studios and Recollections

The Glitz Design collections are so awesome, and quite honestly I wish I had ordered more of both!  I based this layout on some challenges too:
Glitz Design Monthly Challenges: Week #4 Color Challenge: light blue, pink, white and gold
Scrap Our Stash: Challenge #7 Confetti

That wraps it up for me today, Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by!

Tickets: Fancy Pants
Flower and Alphabet Stickers: Echo Park

Twine: V's Sweet Ideas
Spray Mist: Studio Calico

I based this layout on few challenges:

PTI March Blog Hop... Glossy!

* This is my 3rd post for the day (yikes!  What the heck am I going to show the rest of this week?!)... I would love it if you had a chance to check out my first two posts... SweetStamps.com Challenge and a chance to win a $20 shopping spree, as well as my Ombre card in post #2...

It's PTI Blog Hop day... woot woot!!!  This month's blog hop was all about the word glossy.  A little while ago I had picked up some white glossy cardstock, and with no real plan for it I put it in one of my paper holders, and forgot it was there ( I think my paper holder really hides things from me on purpose, hehehehe!)... but when I saw the word glossy for the theme of this hop the momory of my cardstock came back to me ( memory... all alone in the moonlight...).  After making several cards and failing I finally came up with this little beauty...

(I took this side picture of the card hoping it would show the glossiness of the paper, but alas you'll just have to take my word for it)

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: PTI, Glossy Cardstock
Stamps: PTI
Ink: StazOn Jen Black
Coloring Medium: various Copics
Sharpie in Silver

Tip: when coloring with copics try not to let the marker touch the staz-on ink or it will smear the ink and get all over the tip of your copic.  (Ask my light yellow Copic how I know this...grrrr!)

I went out of my comfort zone a few times with this card by adding no extra embellishments, and I did quite a few hand drawn doodles ( ie: the leaves, frame, and dots)

I am so happy you had a chance to stop by and visit my little ol' blog and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Happy Crafting!

Ombre Card...

*This is my second post of the day, please scroll down to check out the details on the SweetStamps.com Weekly Challenge and how you can have a chance to win a $20 shopping spree!

Hello!  I'm here with a card featuring the ombre technique for a few challenges...

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Avery Ellie
Inks: Papertrey Ink
Rhinestones: K & Company, Kaisercraft

I have based this card on two challenges in particular:
AEIHeartU Challenge: Ombre
Scrapbook Blessings Club: Border Sentiment

I wasn't planning on going with purple at first, but the inks kind of just jumped up at me ( and by jumped up at me I mean that there just so happened to be these 3 colors right next to each other when I opened my ink case hehehehehe!  It was a sign!).  Hope you enjoyed and thank you so much for taking the time to visit me!  If you are new to my blog make sure you leave your blog address in a comment so I can visit you too!

Swirls... SweetStamps.com Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge at SweetStamps.com!  This week our theme is Swirls, and remember you have a chance to win a $20 shopping spree to the SweetStamps.com store just by playing along!  Use any products you may have for one chance, and you can double your chances by using a SweetStamps.com image!  Here is my take on this weeks challenge:

Supplies Used:

I achieved my faux wood look by using kraft paper as my base, once I had heat embossed the swirls in white I used my ink pads and a water brush to watercolor over the kraft paper in various brown inks.  Now I can't wait to see your interpretation for this challenge!

I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Glitter It
(It's hard to see in the picture but I used the Spica Glitter Pen all over the flower and leaves)

Spread Your Wings...

Happy Friday!!!  I have a new card to share with you today. I've been having a ton of fun playing with my distress inks and water spritzer lately, and thus this little beauty was born...

I wanted to show the side of this card so that you could see the dimension I have given the butterflies by diecutting their shapes in vellum and adhereing them behind the die cut watercolored images.

I've added this photo to try and make the Wink of Stella more visible, but you still have to stare closely at the tiny butterflies to see a touch of the shimmer that is fantastic in real life, hehehe!

Supplies Used:
Dies: Clearly Besotted Stamps
Distress Inks: Ranger
Mini Mister: Ranger
Spray Mist: Studio Calico
Label Maker: Staples
Rhinestones: TPC Studios
Wink of Sella in Clear
Vellum

I made this card based on the following challenges:
Clearly Besotted: In Flight
Simon Says Stamp: Glitter

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Dream...

Hi!  I am super excited to be taking the CAS 3 Card Class at the moment... seriously, I learn so much each time I take one of these!  Anywho, I used a new technique to me by making my own faux metal impression and keeping this card one layer to boot! woo hoo!

I just had to take a side shot so you could see how shiny it is in person! :)

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn
Die: Spellbinders
Embossing Powder: Stampendous
Water brush: Tim Holtz
Ink: Memento

I created my own mask using a spellbinders nesting die and sticky note.  From there I built up my layers of embossing.  After the fifth layer I pushed my feather image deeply into the embossed label and viola!  I finished my card with some light water coloring with ink and my water brush.

I have made this card based on the following challenges:
Lawnscaping - Clean and Simple
Clean and Simple on Sunday - One Layer Wonder
The Paper Players - Clean and Simple Spring

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
Happy Crafting!
