Hello!  Today starts a new challenge at SweetStamps.com, and we are going Spooky this week!  Perfect for this week being Halloween!

I started this card by embossing the chipboard pieces with various enamel embossing powders.  Next I started creating my scene by masking a circle for my moon, and adding distress ink.  The chipboard pieces were adhered and I went over the house windows with gold glitter glue. I stamped by witch and sentiment over the moon, and finished it all off with some patterned paper and twine.

Ho, Ho, Ho?

With a title like that you know there's bound to be something funny to share... and so I give you this...

hehehe!  He just cracks me up!  This little dino and the presents comes from the mini Lava You Stamp Set that is free this month with any $40 purchase at The Alley Way Stamps.  I have also used the Tag-a-longs stamp set for the Santa hat, the Fa-la-la Stamp Set for part of the snowflackes, and the Gabfest Stamp Set for the sentiment.

To create this card I started by stamping and masking lots of little presents.  Then I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the dino and Santa hat.  Next I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment before going over all of it with distress ink.  Popped the little dino up with foam adhesive, and added a bow!

Runway Inspired Challenge #70

Hello, hello!  This is post #2 for me today, but I'm super duper excited about this one... It is super CAS, but with some omph!  You know what I'm talking about, wink wink!  Check it out...

Ta da!!!  Sometimes you get those ideas that pop up in your brain and it all works out just right, yay!!!  To create my card I started with a red panel the same size as my card base, I then trimmed the top corners.  Next I cut staright up the center from the bottom of the red panel and then came in and up from both bottom corners.  This formed my Christmas tree opening.  You can't help but be struck by the pure beauty and force of the antlers in the inspirational photo, so I used my Mama Elephant antler image from their Winter Wonderland stamp set as the "star" on top of my tree.  Next I heat embossed the sentiment, and for the finishing touch I used an old earring that belonged to my Great Aunt who passed away last year.  She had several earrings without backs to them and they are perfect for adding bling to any paper project.  The colors were so perfect I had to pinch myself.

Lawn Fawn FIT Team

Hello!  We all know how incredibly adorable Lawn Fawn Products are, not to mention the quality of them! (love, love, love)  And when I saw they were having an audition for their FIT team, I just had to give it a try.  After all if you don't at least try you'll never know, right? Anywho... I got a little Christmas crafty with one of their older sets: Trim the Tree and matching dies.  I also used the Peace Love Joy 6 x 6 paper pad.

I started by cutting out a frame from the red stripe patterned paper, adhered acetate, foam adhesive, add sequins and back with cute family photo, hehehehe!  I then stamped and die cut various images.  Next I busted out some copics, trimmed a little banner and adhered to the front of the frame ornament.  Finally I punched a hole in the top, tied some twine through it, and viola!  Now I have a super cute new ornament to hang on my tree this year!

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!!

Peace on Earth

Hello and Happy Monday!  This month is seriously flying by... and yes I'm sharing another Christmas card with Halloween not even here yet... yikes!  Alas, the life of a card maker hehehe!  So today's card involves some masking, creative stamping, and coloring.  And did I mention it was a ton of fun?  I chose to work with the All Wrapped Up Stamp Set from The Alley Way Stamps (it is one of their newest sets and it is so cute for the holidays!)...

I started this card by tracing one of my circle dies with a pencil.  I then stamped my birds at the top of the circle.  Next I created a mask for the birds and began stamping my "wreath" by repeatedly stamping the little leaf branch image.  I then colored my wreath before removing the bird mask.  Next I colored the birds and stamped my sentiment.  To finish things off I added some distress ink to the edges, backed it with patterned paper, and added some twine.  Oh and I almost forgot it got the glitz treatment with some wink of stella!

Shine Shine Shine TAWS!

Today I'm getting super shiny! woo hoo!!! One of my favorite things to do!  I used the new Snow Daze Stamp Set from The Alley Way Stamps to make this little beauty...

I had a ton of fun embossing with various colors.  For the sentiment I embossed in a white fine detailed embossing powder from Piccolo Globecraft.  I then embossed the snowflakes in silver and gold embossing powders ( both have a shine and glitter added to them that I LOVE ), also by Piccolo.  I then went over the sentiment with silver and gold gelatos and a baby wipe.  Love the results!  I then adhered it to silver metallic cardstock.  You can find this on The Alley Way Stamps Blog today too!

Here is a better look at the Snow Daze Stamp Set:
