The Alley Way Stamps Blog Hop Day!!! Yay!!!

Hello!  Happy Hop Day!  Are you ready for some fun?!?!  Not to mention inspiration, and lots of new stamps yay!!!  Today I have the pleasure of working with the new Tootharina set and it is something every mom needs ( especially for those who have little ones that I have yet to loose any teeth! )... I am especially excited as my little man hasn't lost any of his teeth yet, and now I have a way to make his day even more special!!!

I've created a post card!!!  It will be perfect, and I can personalize it on the back!  I also love that Alison had included a Tootharina signature image!  So awesome!  I had to add lots of glitter to my creation, since we all know the tooth fairy loves it! ( not to mention I do too! hehehe!)

Make sure you hop along and see what all of the girls have created for you (plus a chance to win all of the new sets!), and don't forget about the monthly special...

This super adorable Mini Set, Moosing You, is FREE when you spend $40.00
or more during the month of February, 2015.

So, are you ready to hop???!!!

Watercoloring on Embossing Paste

Happy Friday!  As always it is my day up on the SweetStamps.com blog, yay!!!  And today I'm also playing along with this weeks challenge: Embossing Paste...

Supplies Used:
Art Stencil GEO TRIANGLES as46020
Simple Greetings Clear Stamp Set SS4404
 Embossing Paste CLEAR
Peerless Water Colors Bonus Pak Small
Flutterby #2 SweetCuts Die set of 2 sc012b

To start I used clear embossing paste with one of my SweetStamps.com Art Stencil and heat set it.  Next I went over it with watercolors and let dry.  I then layered it with some patterned paper.  I then diecut three butterflies in matching foil paper and stamped  my sentiment.  I love the texture and the mixing of the colors that I created with the embossing paste and watercolors.

A Sneak Peek Time at The Alley Way Stamps

Hello!!!  Yay!!!  It is sneak peek time!!! woot woot!  Make sure you stop by The Alley Way Stamps Blog to see more sneaks of this new stamp set called Stumped.  It is soooooo cute! Plus you'll have a chance to win it before you can buy it!

I went super simple with this stamp set, but let me tell you something there are some super cute critters and scenery in this set that I can't wait to get inky!  I started by stamping my deer in MFT hybrid ink and masked.  Next I had fun with some distress inks and water to create the background. The only thing that went wrong was that some of the background got under the mask... I think it would have worked better if I had embossed the deer and then masked it, that way the water wouldn't have gotten underneath the mask.  So I just colored my dear a little darker than I would have liked to, but it worked.  I then stamped the sentiment and drew a messy frame.

Winnie & Walter Take #2

I'm super excited to share this next take on another one of the Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash Challenges, as I've gotten my shaker on...  This card was created based on the Mood Board Challenge...

Isn't it dreamy and yummy all rolled into one?  Oh I LOVE it!!!  So here is what I created...

yay!  I love how this turned out!  Once again I got creative with my The Big The Bold and The Merry Stamp set and did a little masking to create my You & Me sentiment.  The papers are from Heidi Swapp Dream Collection and DCWV glitter cardstock.  I began by heat embossing and then watercoloring over my sentiment.  Next I diecut my frame, added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins, and created the shaker box element.  I die cut the hearts from more glitter cardstock and adhered to the patterned paper panel.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Winnie & Walter
Die: Lawn Fawn (hearts), Spellbinders (frame)
Cardstock: Ranger Watercolor, Diecuts With A View, Heidi Swapp
Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh

Thanks for stopping back by and hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash Challenge Take #1

Hi!  Today I'm going to be sharing two different cards for two different challenges that are all for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash! woo hoo!!!  My first card was created based on the Gradient Challenge...

I don't own very many Winnie & Walter stamp sets yet (notice the keyword yet? hehehe!), so I had to be a bit more creative with my The Big The Bold and The Merry Stamp set to create cards for other themes, and with a little mix and match I was able to create this sentiment!  My little confetti up top was created using the eraser on my pencil in versamark and heat embossing.  I then added some silver glitter washi tape and layered it at an angle with some mirror paper.

Silly Balloons!

Hello!  Happy Monday!  If you aren't happy yet, I dare you to look at my card and not at least crack a smirk... you know you wanna...

See?!  That's better, isn't it?  To create this card I started by apply gesso and gellatos to watercolor paper.  I then went over it with a brush and generational stamped a confetti background.  Next I added some fun arrow washi, and layered it with a few more strips of patterned paper.  The balloons from The Alley Way Stamp Set Cake Day were stamped onto gesso and gellato treated paper, colored and fussy cut.  I adhered them with foam adhesive and some twine.  Next came the stamped sentiment which is also raised with foam adhesive and finally the flair that says "Let's Party".  I adhered all of this at an angle on my card front and bam!  Happiness is leaking out of this card everywhere!

I'm am linking this little guy up to A Girl Who Crafts: Anything Goes Challenge

And make sure you stop by The Alley Way Stamps Blog to find out how you can win the stamp a day giveaway currently going on!  PS - there is a killer sale going on too, that you can see in my sidebar!

Take #2 Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge

Hello!  I'm back with a different take on the Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #39...

This time I reversed the colors in the photo, except for the black and gold sentiment.  I started with a gold foil DCWV card for my base.  From there I embossed the stars in white, to symbolize all of the white in the photo.  Finally I tied some black twine, double embossed the sentiment in gold and black and added some gold thread.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Altenew
Stencil: Memory Box
Embossing Paste: Ranger
Embossing Powder: SweetStamps.com
Gold Foil Card: DCWV
Black Twine
Gold Thread

Take #1 on Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge

Hi!  Today I'll be popping in quickly to share two different takes on the recent Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #39... I have not had much time to play along in any challenges just for fun lately, but when I saw the new challenge photo I just had to join in...

And here is my first take...

I was inspired by the sentiment in the middle and I sort of inverted the white curves on my card from what was in the photo around the plate.  I loved the look of the gold confetti design so I created one myself out of star stamps.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Mama Elephant (balloon) and Altenew (stars)
Die: Pretty Pink Posh
Embossing Powder: SweetStamps.com 24k gold
Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will get a chance to stop back later for take #2!

Double Embossing

Hello!  I'm up on the SweetStamps.com Blog today sharing another card I've created using double embossing on my background.  If you are unfamiliar with double embossing let me explain.  This technique for me came by simply experimenting, and double embossing is the term I've given it.  I begin by using white embossing paste over a stencil.  While the embossing paste is still white I sprinkle it with embossing powder and heat set it.  It really gives great dimension and results...

Supplies Used:
Enamel EP 24k GOLD
 Art Stencil SNOWFLOWER as46006
Framed Handwritten Words Clear Stamp Set SS4406
 Embossing Paste WHITE

Don't forget to join us in our SweetStamps.com Challenge: Winter Blues... all supplies are welcome, but you will earn a second entry for using SweetStamps.com images/dies.
