Let's Celebrate with Gilded Grey

Hello DCWV fans, new and old! It's Lisa here with you today and I have a super shiny layout I've created with the new Gilded Grey Stack… This stack is a mixture of classy grey patterns and gold foil that adds the perfect touch of shine.   This stack is now available at your local A.C. Moore Stores, so make sure you go check it out!  Now onto the project I've created for today...

As you can see I used several sheets to layer onto my layout.  I used two different floral patterned papers that I fussy cut as a matting behind my photo, and then as embellishments for the lower left corner of my photo.  It was fun to cut around these floral images and use only what I needed. With all of the foil and designs in the background I kept the embellishing to a minimal, as I felt it would be too distracting.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  We can't wait to see what you create with your new stacks!

Stamplorations CAS Challenge Reminder

Hello wonderful crafty friends!  Today I am posting a little reminder for this month's STAMP-lorations CAS Challenge.  Every month is anything CAS, and any products can be used... we also add in an optional twist and this time the twist is the color orange.  In my first project I used a very bright orange, so this time I toned it down and went with a more burnt orange color...

To create this card I started by stamping the sentiments randomly onto a panel.  I then went over the panel with distress ink along all of the edges.  Next I stamped the cup onto separate card stock and colored in with my PrismaColor Pencils.  I cut this out and added it to the panel with foam adhesive.  I added some brown sequins to pop out of my cup and adhered it to a blue panel.  This was then added onto Kraft Card stock and I tied on a twine bow for the top.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create for the challenge!

Happy Everything with Mint Owl Studios

Hello beautiful people!!!  Today I am here and on the Mint Owl Studio Blog to wish you a Happy Everything with the new Happy Moments Stamp Set...

To create this card I took all of the fun circle images in this set and just laid them out on a white panel, with the help of my MISTI I was able to stamp them all at one time... have I mentioned how much I love that thing? ( Have I told you lately, that I love you? - ummm yeah, moving on...)  I then looked around for some fun color combos and settled on this one.  So I flipped the panel over moved some of the circles around and stamped them in my next color, and I did this a third time until the whole panel was covered.  Next, I stamped the happy onto colored yardstick and embossed it in clear, and just laid it across my card.  Finally, I stamped the everything in a black ink and added some matching sequins to set the whole thing off.

I am linking this up to the following challenges...

Oh What Fun! I'm Up on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog

Hello and what fun indeed!  Today you can find me here and on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog sharing a cute Christmas card using new goodies such as the Funky Flakes and Sleigh Fri-dies along with the new Sleighride Stamp Set to create this little scene... ( who doesn't love Christmas in July?! )

When I pulled this stamp set out the original project I had created with the sleighs used very traditional red and green colors, so this time I wanted to go with a rich blue sleigh... I don't know, sometimes deep blues make me think of rich velvet which felt perfect for this image.

To create this card I started by stamping and coloring my sleigh and jingle bells in with a mix of Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils, now this was the first time I've used the Prismacolor Pencils so I'm still learning for sure, but I like the contrast they add.  I then die cutted both of the images out with the matching dies.  ( I love how these dies cut the intricate parts out on the sleigh, it looks great and saves me the heart ache of accidentally cutting into a part of the Sleigh Runners )  Next I created some hills out of embossed paper, die cut some snowflakes and set all of this to the side.  I grabbed a lighter piece of patterned paper to emboss my sentiment with a silver shinny embossing powder.  This is when the whole little scene fell together by adhering the patterned paper to the card base, followed by the snowy hills, next came the sleigh and jingle bells, and finally I added the snowflakes randomly in the background.  I couldn't handle not having a little sparkle on this card so this is where I added some wink of stella onto the snowflakes and top part of the sleigh as you can see in the last picture.

I am linking this up to the 30 Day Coloring Challenge :) yay!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, and make sure you check out the newly released goodies in the CAS-ual Fridays Store, and don't forget to use my code to save you some money!

Thanks... Ellen Hutson + Neat & Tangled Mix Up Challenge

Hi!  I'm popping in this evening to share a card that I made based on the latest Ellen Hutson Mix it Up Challenge.  This time we were to mix our Essentials by Ellen goodies with Neat and Tangled goodies, and this is what I've created...

To create this card I started out stamping and embossing the Fallin Circles Stamp Set by Neat and Tangled onto a panel with some WOW! Embossing Powder.  I then stamped my thanks from the Essentials by Ellen Fancy Thanks Stamp Set onto clear acetate and heat embossed it with a gold embossing powder.  I cut the thanks out and start playing around with various patterned papers and colors to mix with the two.  Next I poked around in my die cut scraps pile and found this flower from the Essentials by Ellen Wild Garden Die set that was already cut in sparkly gold (score!) and the little gold circle.  Once I layered all of the goodies together I went back and added a few gold sequins, and ta-da!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Final Day Before Release!!!

It's almost here!!! yay!!!!  You will be able to get your hands on all of the new CAS-ual Fridays Stamps tomorrow... chair dance with me people!!!  But for today we have another day of teasing you with two more great stamp sets that are a part of this release: Star of David and Spin the Dreidel...

For this first card I used the Star of David Set... I love the design of the stars in this set, they are so beautiful and detailed!  I stamped random stars down the left edge of a panel and heat embossed them in blue.  I then stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner and trimmed around the left side of the stars before adhering it to the card base with foam adhesive.

This second card is a spinner card, or what was suppose to be a spinner card, but doesn't fully spin as it needed a little more oomph in-between my layers.  But you can make the dreidel in the center change with your hands hehehe!  This card with created using the Spin The Dreidel Stamp Set, which also has a fun mix of patterns on the images.  To start I stamped the dreidel images randomly on a panel and then I die cut a circle in the middle and set it to the side.  I then stamped  two dreidel images and the banners onto separate card stock, colored them in with Chameleon Markers in various blues and cut out.  I then layered my spinner card together adding a thin thread behind the circle and adhered the two dreidels together over the thread.

Make sure you pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for lots more inspiration and details on how you can win 1 of 3 gift cards! yay!!  And don't forget to use my discount code to save some money when these new products are available tomorrow!!!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Day 5

We are on to day 5 people! Woot woot!  And I am so happy you are here!  Your comments and kind words have really just made my week, you people rock! For today's post I am sharing two very different cards with two different stamp sets soon to be released by CAS-ual Fridays...

My first card uses a chalkboard look with the new Mistletoe & Holly Stamp Set...

To create this card I started by stamping and embossing the holly and sentiment with white embossing powder.  I then used a white colored pencil over the image before going over it with a colored pencil.  I then finished it off by smudging some white pigment ink randomly on the card stock, and added some red rhinestones to set it all off.  I then adhered this panel to patterned paper.

My next card is fun, funky and totally not traditional in any sense of the word...

For this card I used the new Holly Jolly Borders Stamp set which has some really great images for making backgrounds, borders or however you wish to use them.  I used the lines to stamp my background first then I hap-hazardly went over the lines with the thicker end of my Copics.  I love the fun artsy look it created, and it totally saved me the stress of trying to color perfectly in the lines.  I also decided this card just needed to be loud and fun!  I then used dies from the Tag Ornament Fri-dies to add some sparkle and to frame my sentiment from the Christmas Sparkle Stamp Set. I also chose to pop my sentiment up with foam adhesive.

Now make sure you pop over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for lots more inspiration and details on how you can win a gc to buy some of these new goodies when they are released!  Also, don't forget to use my coupon code to save a little money when you make your purchases too!

Party like it's 1999! Sneak Peek with Mint Owl Studio

* This is my second post of the day scroll down for first one :)

Hello, hello, hello!  It's Wednesday and there is so much to share today!!!  I am back with a second post you can find here and on the Mint Owl Studio Blog, sharing a peek at a project I've created with the soon to be released 90's Party Stamp Set woot woot!  Check it out...

When I first saw this stamp set I thought of two things... 1. Neon Colors, 2. I had to make a Saved By the Bell Background with those two stamps! bwahahaha!  And so I did both!  I LOVE those two triangles sooooo much as they are so versatile!  I also happen to be an avid supporter of cassette tapes, I don't care what year it is... my mix tapes are seriously still the best. (and currently still kept in my sock drawer haha!)

I am linking this baby up to the newest 30 Day Color Challenge, as this little cassette was the first one to feel some love by my new Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils! eeeekkk!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure you head over to the Mint Owl Studio Blog so you can see the full reveal of this set!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Day 4

I'm baaaack!  It's been a crazy busy week here I know, but that just means lots of amazing goodies for you! yay!!!  Today we are sharing peeks at the Sleigh ride Stamp Set and Sleigh Fri-Dies...

I decided to make some cute little table place cards that I think would be so cute to have out for Christmas dinner, or anytime near the holidays... there would even be fun to use for a Holiday Themed Wedding.  Any who, I started by die cutting the sleighs out of black card stock, making sure to leave a little bit of the top of the sleigh die over the fold line.  I then die cut the inside of the sleigh with a red patterned paper and adhered them to the front of each place card.  Next I stamped the bells and holly on separate card stock, colored them in, and used the matching dies to cut them out.  I then adhered them to the sleigh adding names with a gold gel pen and details with a white gel pen.  I finished them off by embossing the inside with matching sentiments.

Make sure you stop by the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for more inspiration, and better look at the new stamps and dies and giveaway details! woot woot!  Pssst - and don't forget to use my coupon code to save you some money when you want to order these new goodies for yourself!!!
