I am so excited to be entering the Scrap it Girl's New Challenge Blog, because it takes all of us back to the basics of scrapbooking and two page layouts. I tend to classify myself as a basic/simple scrapbooker... I love my photo mats, sticker embellishments, homemade embellishments and journaling. That's not to say that I don't love seeing some of the more detailed and amazing projects that so many of you inspire me with, and sometimes I add to my own books, but on the whole I keep my scrapbook pages pretty simple. That is why I am thrilled that there is a new challenge blog challenging us to embrace our imaginative side with scissors, paper, adhesive, and anything else our crafty minds can think of! So go check it out yourself and join in the fun! Best of luck!
Here is my entry:
On my first page the bow on top of the page is the actual hairband from the picture! I used paper from DCVW Nana's Nursery Little Girl stack. The journal box is from Making Memories noteworthy. ( I love these, because they tear right out and come already lined and in fun shapes! ) I used a "welcome baby" banner sticker from making memories design shop. On the second page I used the shadow and regular cut of this flower from the Storybook Cartridge, and I added three pink gems with my I-Rock tool for a little more bling. I chose not to mat these pictures, because I love the coloring of the background paper with the pictures and I didn't want to take away from that.
Thank you so much for looking, and make sure you check out this fun new challenge blog!
Happy Crafting!

MPS Design Team Entry!!!
It is that wonderful time of year again: the sun is shinning, the sprinklers are sprinkling, and its a mad crafting dash to try out for My Pink Stamper's Design Team!!! I ( as many others have I'm sure ) first found out about craft blogging, new ways to use my Cricut, and a whole new world of awesome craftiness from watching Robyn on YouTube. Just having the chance to be one of her lovely design team members tickles me pink ( no pun intended )! So thank you Robyn for your inspiration and encouragement!!!
Now onto my entry:
I used this DT challenge to really challenge myself not only color wise ( must use orange, turquoise, green, brown, and one color of your choice which was cream ), but I used only scrap paper, and tried a new fold ( known as the side step ) for my card! And I'm quite proud of myself!
Materials used:
Cricut Expression
Create A Critter - the other part to this challenge was to use your favorite cartridge, and this is mine!
All paper came from my scrap stack
The button is from Little Yellow Bicycle- Baby Safari
Sizzix Texture Boutique
Swirls Divine A2 Cuttlebug embossing folder
White Pigment - Rubber Stampede
Close to Cocoa - Stampin' Up!
Bahama Blue - Memento
Adhesives used: Scotch ATG, pop dots, and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Martha Stewart Score Board
Stickles
Sentiment from MPS - Pinka-licious stamp set ( click to get them for yourself! )
So go see what others have created for this fantastic opportunity and while you are there make sure you check out Robyn's stamps, not only are the cute, fun, and perfect for any craft, but they also stamp real crisp and clean you'll love it! What are you waiting for head over there now!!!
Happy Crafting!!!

Happy (early) 4th of July Challenge Post!
Hello everyone! And as promised yesterday I am here with my 4th of July post for all of you!!! I made a really fun banner for my mom's swimming party that she has every year to celebrate the 4th of July, and thank goodness there is a pool because it is going to be a hot one this year!!! But first I have to show this months calender design...
And now for my challenge(s) entry:
All of the cuts were made using the Independence Day Solutions Cartridge, I then added stickles on the stars, faux stiching with my white gel pen, and the cutest stamps ever from peachy keen : Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment. I also used gold and red stickels. The rosettes were handmade with help from my Martha Stewart Scorboard, my hot glue gun, and decorated with leftover star cutouts!
Challenges I'm entering (it's a doozy so hold on to your hats! hehehe!):
Terrific Tues. Challenge - Stand and Salute cartridge, or a similar cut
My Craft Spot - Seeing Stars
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday - Red, White and Blue
Celebrate the Occasion - 4th of July
Whimsical Wed. - Let's Get Patriotic
Whacky Wed. #43 - Red, White and Blue
Paper Cutz Challenge #98 - Star Spangled Banner
Woohoo!!! Please check out what others have made for the challenges listed above, and thank you for stopping by and any comments you might have, I love seeing them!
