Little Tom Turkey Challenge Card!

Hello everyone!!!  In anticipation of a delicious Thanksgiving I made this fun little card for some awesome challenges:

Isn't he fun?  I wanted to make something different, and while eating dinner ( don't askme why this thought came during diner ) I thought it would be fun to make something that looks like the feathers on the chest of the turkey, and so I punched a bunch of circles out of scrap paper I had left over from my DCWV sketch challenge...

Materials Used:
Paper layerz for the paper on the turkey ( love this stuff! )
Create a Critter Cartridge
Circle punch
scrap paper
brad
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive

Challenges I am entering this into are:
Crafty Sprouts - Anything Goes
Whimsical Designs - Happy Turkey Day
More Than Favors Wacky Wed. - Thanksgiving theme
Paper Cutz - Let's Talk Turkey

Paper Ornament

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving week!!!  Can't you just taste the turkey now?  Speaking of turkey I have a fun card to share with you later in the day or maybe tomorrow to celebrate that yummy little guy... but alas I digress...
Today I am sharing with you a fun vintage ornament that I made this weekend for our DT challenge over at Becky's Sweet Design Team:

I love this don't you?!  It was fairly easy to make too... just cut strips of paper 6" X 1/2" 20 of them, punch holes 1/8" of the way down top and bottom of each strip, use wire ( I used floral wire that I had lying around ) cut at 2", loop the wire in the middle and put two ends through all of the top holes and separate the ends of the wire (to keep all of the strips on), make another looped wire for all of the bottom holes to go through and do the same.  Slowly pull from the bottom strip of paper strip by strip until you have pulled all of them out and keep working with them to from the ball shape.  Once it is formed it should stay like that.  Viola!

Materials Used:
Tim Holtz idea-ology Season's paper pack ( thanks mom! )
ribbon from really reasonable ribbon
floral wire
beads from my stash

Hope you have enjoyed and feel free to ask any questions in my comments below!

DT post - Flip Card

Hello everyone!!! Today I am sharing a card I made for this weeks DT challenge - to make a flip card!  This is the first time I have every made one, and I think it's growing on me.  I am not very good using an exacto knife ( actually it was my hubbys hehehe! Thanks Brian! ), so it took a little practice for me to cut the middle part right.  I do love the way it swings when you open it up, so I might have to make more of these in the future...

Materials Used:
Recollection Stamp set
Green Ink from Memories
Christmas Cartridge
Red Stickles
Martha Stewart branch punch
Paper from scraps

Thank you so much and have a great day!
