Mother's Day Challenge at SweetStamps.com! Prize: Free Stamps! What could be better?

OLW Challenge: All things grow with love!

I hope you had a nice weekend!  (with maybe a little crafting thrown in?)  I love making one layer cards and the most recent challenge for One Layered Wednesdays was one I had to play in...

I think this card is much prettier in person, but for some reason I just couldn't get my photos to turn out the way I wanted them.  Alas, I am happy I at least was able to share it with all of you...

Falling For You... NSD challenges

Hi!  I wasn't home the other day to participate in the actual national scrapbook day parties, but I am able to play along now and probably will continue to play all week!  I'm so thankful that there is always enough time to enjoy the festivities... I wish my birthday festivities could last that long (making mental note for next year hehehe!).  So for my first layout I was able to combine 3 challenges, and they are: Crafty Steals: 3 element challenge, Echo Park: NSD Challenge #2 Layout of Love, and Scrap Our Stash Challenge: create a layout and the stash list...

PTI MIM challenge#114 Blown Ink

Hi and TGIF!!! YAY!!!!  I am happy to share this fun card that I made based on the newest Make it Monday Challenge at PTI.  I loved this technique of literally blowing ink with a straw... it was  a little nerve wrecking to have almost no control of where the ink was going, but kind of fun to watch it all unfold.

Ink: PTI and Watermark
Embossing Powder: Zing
Mister Huey's Spray Ink: SC
Perfect Pearls Mist: Ranger
Stickles: Ranger

You should give this technique a try, if for nothing else it is fun to be the mess maker every now and then instead always having to clean it up hehehe!  Have a fabulous weekend, and for all of those who are going to be celebrating NSD have a super scrappy one!  I'm hoping to get to play along with something on Sunday!
