Hello! I just love Valentine's Day, it's so full of love, happiness, and chocolate don't forget the chocolate! So, I made my first Valentine's card based on a picture from Lilly Pad Cards... and this is what I came up with...
I took the colors and the strings on the hearts from the original picture as inspiration for my card... I love the way this card turned out but I'm not happy with the paper I used behind the card for taking picture, much too distracting so I apologize!
Materials Used:
Zing White Embossing Powder
Tim Holtz Embossing Ink Pad
Memories Black Ink
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Twinery Twine unraveled
Technique Tuesday Sentiment Stamps
Hampton Arts heart couple stamp
Thank you so much for looking and please stop by Lilly Pad Cards to see what others did for this challenge!
Happy Crafting!

Re-do... don't we all have one of those?
Hello everyone! Today's post is for a challenge over at Damask Love, which is a redo challenge. If you have never seen Dr. Amber's work then you have to stop over there now because it is always stunning!!! She has posted a challenge to re-do one of those projects that you look back on now and think " what in the world was I doing? " . So here is my "What?!" card before:
yikes!!! And now onto my redo: ( wow, didn't realize this was going to be so embarrassing, hehehe! )
Whew! That is much, much better! I kept the embossed swirls like I had in the first one and I chalked again only in different colors and on one specific image not the whole card! ( really... I chalked on the whole card on that first one??? Ahhhh!!! )
Materials Used:
Kraft Cardstock
Swirly Embossing Folder and Sizzix Texture Boutique
Sentiment from TPC Studio Greetings Clear Stamps
Memento Potter's Clay Ink
Twine from the Twinery
Thanks so much for stopping by to see my re-do and make sure you see what others have redone for this challenge as well at Damask Love!
I am also entering this into the Make It Monday with Kraft Outlet Tie It Up Challenge!
Thank you again and have a great weekend!
Happy Crafting!

Man Card Time
Today I am posting a birthday card I have made for my brother-in-law's birthday... I find guy cards to be the hardest to make, but this one kind of came together on it's own!
Materials used:
Brown kraft
Spots and Dots Embossing Folder
gold ribbon from my stash
bottle cap
star brads
Glossy Accents
Swirl Clear Stamp
Fiskars Birthday Wishes Clear Stamps
Close to Coacoa ink by Stampin Up!
Vintage Photo Tim Holtz Distress Stain
Perfect Pearls Mist by Ranger in Gold
Zots Adhesive Dots
Sticky Doos by the Paper Studio
How did I make that fun little bottle cap? I took a bottle cap from my stash, had the hubby cut off the prongs of the star brads, poured Glossy Accents into the bottle cap and placed my stars where I wanted them and let it dry. Easy Peazy!
And I am entering this into the following challenges:
The Craft Spot Challenge Me Monday #42- let's hear it for the boys
Celebrate the Occasion Challenge #47 - Masculine birthday card
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Black and White
I am sharing a card today with somewhat of a heavy heart and a heart full of hope. Today's card will be sent on to Madison at Funky Cards who will then send this card onto a family who recently lost one of their infant twins before Christmas. You can read the full story at Funky Cards and have a chance to send your thoughts and support onto this family as well. Having little children myself, and one who is only 10 months really makes these stories hit home, so while I am so very sad that there is a need to be sending such a card I only hope it brings some comfort to them at this time in their lives.
Materials Used:

Clear Stamps by Paper Studio
Clear Stamps by Hampton Arts
Fiskars Edge Punch
I-Rock Tool and clear gems
White Ribbon
I am also entering this into the black and white challenge at CAS-ual Fridays.

Altered Challenge
Today I am going to be sharing with you a quick little project for an Altered DT Challenge with Becky's Sweet Creations. This project literally took me no more than 20 minutes, and I just love when you can knock something out so quickly and enjoy the end results... The challenge was to take something from around the house and alter it. I chose a plain french vanilla candle I had in my pantry and decided not just alter it, but to bling it!
Materials Used:
PK Glitz Sticky Tape
Martha Stewart Glitter
Sugar and Spice Lite Cartridge
Heart Stamp
Pink Ink from Memento
And now I have a fun Valentine's Day decoration! Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the day!

Quick Quotes LO and first post of 2012
Hello and welcome to the new year!!! I hope your holidays were full of laughter, fun, and a little relaxation ( yeah, I know I'm laughing at that one too! ). I am very excited to share today's post with you, because it is using one of my favorite product maker... Quick Quotes! If you have never worked with any of the Quick Quote products then you don't know what you are missing! Their paper is top of the line in quality, not to mention the colors and the hidden quotes on some of them! They are known for their vellum quotes, which are nothing short of wonderful... so many various quotes that they are bound to have just what you need.
With that said here is a two page LO made almost entirely out of Quick Quotes Products...
With that said here is a two page LO made almost entirely out of Quick Quotes Products...
See?! Aren't they just wonderful! I used two different lines when making this... The Miss Morgan line was what I used the most for the dots and pink paper, the butterflies were cut out of Damsel In Distress and then distressed in Tim Holtz ink to match the Miss Morgan paper, and the main background paper was from their Mary's Garden line. The beautiful clear embellishments are from Quick Quotes Frosted Flourishes, and already come with the bling on them!
Complete List of Materials Used:
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Liquid Pearl
Scotch quick dry adhesive
Scotch ATG
brads
pop dots
Thank you for stopping by and make sure you run over to the Quick Quotes store you won't be disappointed!
