Cas-ual Fridays and Chibitronics Blog Hop
Woo hoo! I'm so excited that the CAS-ual Friday girls get to hop with the Chibitronics team for a fun and inspirational hop! I had been introduced to Chibitronics a year or so ago, and I was so excited when I got to work with their amazing products once again! I LOVE how easy their starter kit is to work with. Trust me, it looks way more complicated then it actually is. Plus they have tons of videos that show you step by step how to use their products...
For my card I used the CAS-ual Fridays Set called Floating. I love all of the details to this balloon in the set so I stamped it onto Bristol Cardstock and watercolored it with a mix of Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. To create my sky I used a torn edge of a sticky note and Distress Oxide ink. Once my front panel was done I started working on the lighting portion of the card.
First, I made three small holes in the center of three flowers on the balloon. This made it easy to mark my cardbase for where I needed the lights to go. I then drew a negative line and a positive line with a pencil and a circle for where the battery would go. I knew I wanted my card to be a push light up card, so I created a little panel for my battery to go in. Next I added my copper tape along the lines I had drawn earlier making sure they connected to the right side of the battery. Once I knew the battery panel and lights were working correctly I added my stamped panel with foam adhesive, and ta-da!
These type of interactive cards might just be my favorite. I can't even stop playing with it myself! lol
And of course there will be a giveaway, so make sure you hop along to all of the stops for your chance to win a Gift Card to the CAS-ual Friday's Store and a starter kit from Chibitronics! Yay!!!

Hello Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers
Hi! It's Monday, and so far it's been a rather productive day for me, so yay! I hope your week is starting off well too! Right now I'm popping in to share a quick and easy card that I've created with Spectrum Noir's Aqua Markers and Crafters Companion's Colorista Aqua Stamp Set: Best Wishes.
To create this card I started by stamping my images with Versafine Ink. Next, I scribbled on a craft mat with my Aqua Marker in Prussian Blue. To pick up the color I used my Crafters Companion Waterbrush Pens. For the butterfly I used the fine nib side of my Aqua Markers and colored the wings in (Begonia, Rose Red, Red Violet, Navy, Teal, Jasmine, Sunflower, and Bud Green). I used my Waterbrush Pens again to pull the colors out. Finally, I layered my stamped and colored panel onto Crafters Companion Luxury Cardstock in Navy and Pale Dogwood. (Their luxury cardstock is seriously some of my favorite cardstock to work with!)
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing rest of the day!
Happy Crafting!
