Life is Good Stencil Card for Nani Ke Ola Blog

Hello!  Today I am sharing a fun, bright and happy card with you here and on the Nani Ke Ola Blog!  This card was easy to create, but has a fab artsy feel to it...

Supplies Used:
All products are by Prima Marketing unless noted otherwise: Butterflies Stencil, Watercolor Brush Pen, Watercolor Pencils - The Basics, Empress Gold Color Bloom Spray
Foil Die Cut: Pink Fresh Studios
Die: Lawn Fawn

To create this card I started with a panel of watercolored cardstock and began tracing the butterfly stencil with a very fine tip PITT artist pen.  Next I went through and haphazardly colored the butterflies in various colors with my Prima Watercolor Pencils.  Once everything was colored I went over them quickly with my Prima Waterbrush letting the colors blend and purposely taking them outside the lines.  Tip: when mixed colors make sure to wipe your waterbrush between shades, this prevent any muddying of the colors.  Once this dried I spritzed it with some Prima Gold Color Spray. My final step was to diecut the panel and adhere it back in place with foam adhesive.  I then added my embellishment/sentiment and ta - da!

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Nani Ke Ola Blog Post

Hello!  It's my turn again to share something on the Nani Ke Ola Blog, and I have to say I had a ton of fun getting a little messy while making my layout.  I have shared a couple of layouts using lots of the Pink Fresh Studios Up in the Clouds collection pieces, but today's layout uses some water coloring a chipboard and the Studio Puffs, take a look...

Supplies Used:
Pink Fresh Studios Foil Die Cuts
Um Wow Studio Banner chipboard
Prima Color Blooms Gold Empress
Prima Water Color Pencils - The Basics
Water Color Brush Pen

I started this layout by laying some gesso onto the background paper.  Once that dried I dripped some of the Color Blooms in Gold onto my kraft mat and with water painted it over top.  I also chose to flick the brush lightly to slightly cover the page.  When I knew what photos I wanted to use I knew that I needed to dress my banner up in fun, but soft colors.  To do this I started by covering the front with gesso, and set to dry.  I then colored each pennant with various Prima Watercolor Pencils and painting them with water and a brush.  I then dipped that same brush in more of the gold Color Bloom Spray and went over the whole banner giving it a beautiful sheen in person.  The rest of the layout was brought together by mixing and matching various foil die cuts.

I am entering this into the Simon Say Stamp Monday Challenge: Pastels - my banner is full of pastel colors as are some of the pink embellishments :)

Stop by the Nani Ke Ola Store to grab some of these goodies for yourself, and thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

Loving Pink Fresh Studios at Nani Ke Ola

*This is my second post for today!  Scroll down for a blue buffalo, I'm not kidding!
Hello!  Today I am sharing this layout here and on the Nani Ke Ola Blog!  Finally I was able to get my hands on some of the new products available at the Nani Ke Ola Scrapbooking Store and I was tickled pink to find the Pink Fresh Studio's newest collection there.  I ordered all of it, and double on lots of it hehehe!  So with that said let's get on to the first layout I have created with it...

Supplies Used:
Pink Fresh Studios Up in the Clouds Collection
Prima Marketing Color Bloom Spray: Empress Gold

To create this layout I started by spritzing my page with Prima Marketing Embress Gold Color Bloom Spray.  These sprays are fabulous!  They come in a nice sized bottle and have a nozzle stopper so no accidental sprays can happen.  ( This is really wonderful for us Mommies who have wandering hands around, hehehe! )  I love how bright this gold is and how perfectly it matched the Gold foil in the Up in the Clouds Collection.  I then added some layering behind the larger of the two photos and embellished with the foil die cuts.  You will also find a tiny strip of washi tape in the lower right hand corner which helps keep your eyes moving in a downward diagonal direction.

This layout was also inspired by the Scrap Our Stash Challenge #24 : Stencil - (S) - smile and spray (T) - tape more specifically washi tape (E) - Enamel Dot (N) - numbers in my journaling I say 2nd Birthday Photos (C) - circles hidden behind top photo (I) - Ink (L) - the word LOVE

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you will get a chance to check out the new products available in the Nani Ke Ola Store!
Happy Crafting!
