Hello, hello! This is post #2 for me today, but I'm super duper excited about this one... It is super CAS, but with some omph! You know what I'm talking about, wink wink! Check it out...
Ta da!!! Sometimes you get those ideas that pop up in your brain and it all works out just right, yay!!! To create my card I started with a red panel the same size as my card base, I then trimmed the top corners. Next I cut staright up the center from the bottom of the red panel and then came in and up from both bottom corners. This formed my Christmas tree opening. You can't help but be struck by the pure beauty and force of the antlers in the inspirational photo, so I used my Mama Elephant antler image from their Winter Wonderland stamp set as the "star" on top of my tree. Next I heat embossed the sentiment, and for the finishing touch I used an old earring that belonged to my Great Aunt who passed away last year. She had several earrings without backs to them and they are perfect for adding bling to any paper project. The colors were so perfect I had to pinch myself.
And here is a look at the

I am also entering this into the

*thud* Lisa, this is awesome. I am seriously dumbstruck by how beautiful this card is. Definitely not your usual style but you wouldn't know it looking at the perfect execution and amazing finished result. Then to read that it doubles up as a modern/abstract Christmas tree too... wow. The earring is a wonderful finishing touch, and something truly special given its origins. Thanks for strutting your stuff with us at Runway Inspired Challenge!
BTW please forgive my original comment where I typo'd your name and also had a typo in the text. I still haven't quite woken up yet!
Such a special way to use your Great Aunt's earring...beautiful! Thanks so much for joining us on the Runway!
