A Muse Studio Sneak Peek Day 3

And I'm back with day 3 of sneak peek week for A Muse Studio.  This also happens to be the last day for peeks, because tomorrow the entire release goes live for your shopping pleasure! YAY!!!  Today we are showing the Dear Friend Stamp Set and the new Paper Tapes...

This card is great for today, because it just so happens to feature both new products!  To create my background I layered strips of the Paper Tape diagonally before die cutting it with the Postage Stamps Die Set.  I had stamped the floral and leaf images from the Dear Friend Set with Grass Pigment Ink and Hibiscus Pigment Ink.  I added some cute Cherry Blossom Sequins, and Creative Candy Pretty Pearls in Sugar.

STAMP-lorations September CAS Challenge

Hello!  Today starts a brand new Clean and Simple Monthly Challenge with a twist on the STAMPlorations Blog! woo hoo!  The twist this month is the color pink...

To create this card I started by diecutting a grey panel with the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.  I then stamped a matching stitched frame image from the Frames and Flowers Stamp Set in a gray ink for a tone on tone effect.  Next I stamped the sentiment in a darker grey and the flowers were stamped with white and then restated with a dark pink, and a light pink for the leaves.  I adhered all of this to a strip of pink card stock and a smaller strip of pink glitter card stock finished it all off with some clear sequins.

PTI July Blog Hop

Hello!  Yay!!!  It's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Day!  I always love these, because I love seeing how differently each person sees the inspiration that is provided for us.  And this time there is just one photo of inspiration to work with...

I drew my inspiration from the stitched flower and the flowers on the doily...

I recently bought a set of nice water paintbrushes, and there is a itty bitty one that I just had to bust out for this card.  I basically painted my flower using very little water and the ink pads as my color pallet.  I stamped the inks onto my craft mat and dabbed my paintbrush right in and got to work.  I pulled my colors from the bottom up and then went back over in areas I wanted to create more dimension.  Another trick I used on this card was stamping off... I inked up my sentiment with Dark Chocolate stamped it onto a scrap paper before quickly stamping it onto my card front.  This gave it a muted look that blended more with the background.
