Hello!  Welcome to post #2 today! yay!!! Now I'm going to share a layout here and on the Nani Ke Ola Blog I've created with some of the new Pink Fresh Studios...

I just love the shine of the gold in this collection!  These are the last two photos ever taken of my Libby girl, and I love that they are on such bright and happy paper.  This is something I will always cherish...

Bwahahaha!  Tell me you're not laughing in a totally third grader way? hehehe!  The best part... is that the inside backside of the chicken actually wobbles... score!

CardMaker Magazine and Sakura Blog Hop

Hello!  So happy that you are here today, if you've just found this hop then I hope you will get a chance to start at the beginning, because the CardMaker Blog Design Team is hopping with Sakura goodies today!!!  Here is what I've created for this hop...

To create this card I started by stamping the floral images with a water resistant ink and onto water coloring cardstock. I then colored the centers of the flowers wtih distress markers and pulled the colors out and blended them with a wet paint brush. I then set this to the side to dry.  While it was drying, I die cut the word happy three times for added dimension.  This is where the Sakura quickie glue pen came in handy.  Since to tip of the glue pen is the size of a pen I was able to trace over my word die and adhere it to another word die.  I did this twice, and finally I adhered all three onto my panel. Tips when using the quickie glue pen: it does dry quick, so be fast.  At first I was trying to cover the whole word at one time, but I would find that the first part was a little dry by the time I went to adhere them together, so instead I would glue the first half and press firmly together then glue the second half and it worked fine.

Now that my water coloring was dry I decided to add some texture and highlights to my flowers by using my Glaze pen in black to the dots and centers of the flowers.  This pen gives a nice shine as well as dimension to your projects.  The black does come out fast, so make sure you have a light hand when applying.  And finally I added lines and dots with the Gelly Roll White Pen, here are a few close ups of the flowers for a better view...

Stamps: Altenew (Striped Florals); Winnie and Walter ( The Big The Bold and The Happy)
Ink: Versafine by Tsukineko
Distress Markers: Dusty concord, picked raspberry, fired brick, spiced marmalade, weathered wood, stormy sky, squeezed lemonade, wild honey, mustard seed, tumbled glass, shaded lilac, spun sugar, and victorian velvet
Sakura Pens: Black Glaze, White Gel and Quickie Glue
Die: PTI
Black Cardstock: DCWV

Hello Chick!

Happy Monday!!!  I hope your week is starting off well!  I'm popping in today on The Alley Way Stamps Blog and on here to share this cute little chick card that is bound to make you smile...

When I saw the little chicks in the Hard Boiled Stamp Set I knew I wanted to create a cute little background, and since I love the look of tone on tone that's what I went with.  I also stamped the little nest, colored and fussy cut for my sentiment to rest on.  The enamel dots are ones I had "tried" making myself, I say tried because I was just not able to master the look myself, but i did have a few that turned out ok.

Surfs Up!

Never Stop Dreaming...

Hi!  Today's card can be found here and on The Alley Way Stamps Blog, so stop by there too to see what others are creating.  I'm sharing this soft and dreamy card using the new Wigwam Stamp Set... this set will quickly win your heart for it's unique images and all of the possibilities when using them...

To create this card I busted out my barely used foil flakes, these babies need to come out more!  By heat embossing the image with a heat and bond embossing powder I then applied the flakes quickly and rubbed them in with my finger.  I then stamped my sentiment below it with a soft pigment ink and embossed this with clear ep.  Next I layered my stamped vellum with older Studio Calico kit paper and added washi tape at the top for more interest.  I then layered this onto another patterned paper ( sorry can think of the maker, tsk tsk to me ), and finally onto my cardbase.  The clear sequins added just a touch of sparkle while drawing the eyes in towards the embossed image.
