Miss You...

Hi!  I'm popping in to share one final take on The Ton's National Craft Month Challenge!  Now this time I didn't use the colors that were given to inspire, but instead I just played and had fun with my Ton stamps and gilding...

To create this card I started by stamping and embossing the stars in gold from the Panda Can't Even Stamp set.  I then layered the whole panel with water before dropping in random blue, purple and black watercolors.  I set this to the side to dry and stamped the panda on a side card stock.  I then started trimming it with scissors.  I then diecut a hill and the watercolor panel.  I added a few white splatters to the background and stamped my sentiment from the Vintage Frames set.  I added the little panda to the hill and finished it with some sequins from from the Purple Ballgown Couture Mix.  I then popped all of this up on some Amy Tangerine patterned paper and tied some black twine at the top.

Hugs... Mint Owl Studio Post

Hello!  It is Wednesday so not only is half of the week through, but that also means I am up on the Mint Owl Studio Blog sharing a watercolor CAS card with you today.  Now, this card is different than my typical watercolored pieces and was actually a new for me technique of using Pearlescent Watercolors on dark card stock.  Here is how it turned out...

To create this card I started by using my Lillies of Hope Stamp Set and a very heavy piece of black card stock and stamped and embossed the lilly, leaf and sentiment with clear embossing powder.  I then used my Pearlescent watercolors to color the images in.  Once it had dried completely I diecut the edge and popped it up with foam adhesive onto my cardbase.

Sweet Birthday Wishes with MFT

Hi!  Today I'm sharing a cute Birthday card that I've made with the BB Sweet Birthday Wishes Stamp set by My Favorite Things for their newest color challenge...

And here is what I've created with it...

She's just so sweet and so fun to color too!  While the background looks black in this photo it really is just a charcoal gray.  I started by stamping her and my sentiment onto card stock with MFT Hybrid Ink, I die cut the tag from Stitched Tags.  I then layered some patterned paper onto the cardbase and added the tag at an angle finishing it off with some matching enamel dots.

Happy Crafting and Thank you so much for stopping by!

You're the Cat's Meow...

oh yes you are!  I am back with one more take on The Ton's Color Palette Challenge.  This time I'm playing with their Purrincess stamp set, which is just too cute might I add...

I started this time by stamping the cat on separate card stock and coloring it in, and trimmed it out.  I then used a scalloped oval die to trace onto another white panel, so I could stamp the little yarn mess in the background in the colors provided on the Color Palette that was given.  Next I die cutted the scalloped oval frame and adhered it right over the stamped background.  I added a sentiment in the bottom right corner of the panel, and with a strip of gold glitter card stock I layered it all onto the cardbase.

Thank you for stopping by, and if this is your second time around double thanks! :)

Birthday Card with The Ton

Hi!  I'm popping in on this lovely Monday to share a Birthday card I've made based on the latest Color Palette Challenge with The Ton.  Now I have to say my photo quality is not the best as I had to take my pictures of it on a rainy dark morning, but it is already on its way as happy mail so it's the best I could do.  When I saw The Ton was having a challenge I just had to play along because I LOVE their products, and getting to play with them is always fun!  Here's what I've created...

I brought out my very first Ton Stamp set for this card called Vintage Frames for the top part and one of their newer sets called Timeless Icons Sentiment Set for the sentiment on the bottom.  I used the colors in the color palette that was given for my frames up top...

I finished it all off with some sequins from a couple of couture mixes.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

Hi!  Today I'm playing along with the Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop, yay!!!  I have to admit I'm kind of bummed about the photos I'm sharing today as we have no sunlight at all to get really good photos of it, boooooo!  But, the show must go on...

Here are the beautiful photos we were given for inspiration...

And here is what I've created...

I couldn't help but go old school style by busting out my first Papertrey Ink Stamp Set called Stitches & Swirls with the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set.  I used a mix of Papertrey Ink dye Inks in: Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Ripe Avocado, and Simply Chartreuse.  I also matted it with Simply Chrtreuse cardstock.

Frappe Love with Mint Owl Studio

Hello, hello!  I've had extra posts this week, yay!!! Today I'm popping in with another post for the Coffee Loving Carmakers Spring Blog Hop, The Paper Girls #100 Challenge - I used lots of paper, and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Food and Drink...

To create this card I started by stamping the frappe image from the new Coffee Craze Stamp Set by Mint Owl Studio.  I then colored it and cut it out.  The coloring technique I used was inspired by Sandy Allanock's Magical Monday Copic Coffee and Frappe Shop.  It was so fun to try myself!  I then decided to keep it with the Spring theme I needed lots of bright and happy colors so I found patterned paper by Heidi Swapp diecut a panel, banner and heart.  I stamped my sentiment in the heart, layered it all onto the cardbase and stamped hearts.  Sadly I wish I had stopped with the first three hearts I had stamped, but I got a little heart happy and ended up with this, hehehe!  I added a few clear sequins for shine and adhered the drink with foam adhesive.  You will also find this card posted on the Mint Owl Studio blog today! :)

You're Owlsome! - Mint Owl Studio

Hello!  I'm here and on the Mint Owl Studio Blog today playing with one of their newest released sets called Outrageous Owls...

Isn't he so fun?!  I just love the cute characteristics each of the owls in this set has.  Since he was unique, I knew he needed some fun bright colors so that is exactly what I gave him!  I had fun adding all of the leaves to this branch s well, this set just has lots of little touches that can really be mixed and match and unique to each project you create with it.  Once the coloring was complete I added the sentiment and some rainbow sequins from the new Kaleidoscope Sequin Mix.  The final touch was by diecutting the panel and adding it to a kraft card base.

Welcome Spring... Watercoloring

Hello!  I'm posting a for fun card today, yay!  I've created this lovely watercolor card based on several challenges including the Waffle Flower Challenge: watercoloring and Simon Says Stamp Work It Wednesday: Flowers, As You Like It Challenge: Favorite Embossing and why...

To create this card I started with Arches 140 Cold Press Watercolor paper.  I heat embossed my stamped images from the new Waffle Flower's release Welcome Spring Stamp Set.  I love using heat embossing when watercoloring as it keeps the color contained and thus easy to work with.  I then used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to drop in my colors.  Once the panel dried I stamped my sentiment and butterfly with Versafine ink.  I then used the Lacey Layers die also by Waffle Flower to diecut a layer at an angle, and I popped it up with foam adhesive.  To finish my card I used some sequins from Mint Owl Studio.

New Release Peek for Mint Owl Studios: Coffee Craze

Hello, hello!!!!  There is a lot of coffee goodness going around in blogland today, and my post is no different!  I am super excited to be able to share a sneak peek of the soon to be release coffee set by Mint Owl Studio called Coffee Craze.  This set along with two other sets will be available for purchase this Saturday, woot woot!  *(Psssttt I also hear that there is a giveaway with this set on the Mint Owl Studio Blog, hint hint!)

Here is what I've created...

To create this card I started by stamping lots of coffee bean images all around a panel of card stock before diecutting a stitched rectangle from the center of it and popping it up with foam adhesive.  I then stamped my mug onto kraft paper as well as patterned paper and paper pieced them together.  Next came the sentiment and a heart along the bottom.  I then diecut this panel and popped it up with foam adhesive as well.  So basically it's a lot of basic layers, lol.  I finished it all off with soon to be released sequins that are perfect for any caffeinated project.

As I'm sure you are aware of the newest Coffee Blog Hop that is going on today so I encourage you all to check that out as well for more inspiration! ( I'm linking this baby up! :) )

GD for Ellen Hutson Pinsights Challenge

Ahhhh!!!  Did you read that title, and then re-read it again?!  ekkkkk!!!  I can not believe how honored I am to be asked to provide a little inspiration for the new Ellen Pin-sights Challenge, take a look at this beautiful photo that is sure to get your crafty mojo reeling...

And here is a little about how this challenge works...The Essentials by Ellen Pin-Sights challenge is a monthly inspirational challenge based on a Pinterest Inspired photo that is located on the CLASSroom blog. A random challenge participant will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store.  To be eligible, you MUST use Essentials by Ellen products and the photo badge as inspiration. There will be an inlinkz on the challenge post where you can submit.

Now onto what I've created based on this challenge...

My favorite thing about this card was my labor of love homemade coverplate.  I love the look of coverplates and the intricacy they express on a project, since I don't own any of the Essentials by Ellen coverplates as of right now I figured I'd just make my own.  I started by choosing one of the floral dies from the Wild Garden Designer Dies set by Julie Ebersole.  I then took a trimmed panel of foiled yardstick and drew a slightly smaller rectangle on the backside.  I used this drawn rectangle as a guide for where to line the top cutting plate with the die and paper so that I would receive only partial cuts around the outer edge of the panel.  Next I randomly cut the entire floral image on the inside of my panel, while this does cut the full image I simply adhered it back in the same spot I cut it out from once it was placed onto my cradles.  I then diecut a frame in a gorgeous green card stock, matching the greens in the inspiration photo and adhered it with foam adhesive..  I stamped and embossed a heart image from the Fancy Thanks Stamp Set by Julie Ebersole, before trimming it and adding it to the lower right hand corner of my frame.  Finally I stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set, trimmed the card stock at an angle and finished it all off with some clear sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping by today (and a huge thank you to Ellen Hutson and her amazing team for having me join them today!) and Happy Crafting!

STAMPlorations CAS Reminder

Hello!  Today the CAS girls on the STAMPlorations blog are sharing some more inspiration to entice you to play along with our anything Clean And Simple Challenge with the optional twist of the color yellow this month.  Here is what I've created...

I used the fun Coffee Happy Stamp Set to create this card, and I had a blast coloring and cutting this mug out.  I decided to go all monotone with this card using yellow on yellow.  I also used a white frame to really draw the eye in, and the sequins help to keep the piece flowing left to right.  Thanks so much for stopping by today and I can not wait to see what you will create for this challenge!

Happy Birthday Puuurrrincess!

Hi!  So I just couldn't hold out on sharing this cute little card that I've created with some goodies from The Ton Stamps, and since my daughter is only turning 5 and has no access to a computer I can totally share this cutie without spoiling the surprise of it, hehehe!

Total freaking cuteness right?!  I just love this kitty from the Purrincess stamp set, and it is so purrfect for my little girl with a tiara on top! ( I know, I know... really, Lisa?  Sorry!  i couldn't help it!)  Anywho, I stamped the little kitty and sparkly background first.  Then I used various Copics for coloring her in and the coloring around her.  I then enclosed her in a shaker Polaroid with some Couture sequins, also from The Ton, popped it up on some sparkly paper and there ya have it!

I can't wait to see her face when she opens it!

I am entering this little girl into the Seize the Birthday Challenge.  Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today!

Some Bunny Loves You Goody Bags

Hiya!  Today I'm sharing these super cute bunny goody bags that I've created here and on the Mint Owl Studio Blog.  These little bags come together quickly and only require one sheet of paper, double score!

To create these bags I started by stamping my bunnies from the Some Bunny stamp set on an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock in a similar color ink for a tone on tone effect.  You can find a tutorial by clicking here that I followed for making the bags themselves.  I then die cut a tag and stamped a sentiment from the same set onto it... the extra bunny was stamped on separate cardstock, colored and fussy cut.

I am linking these up to the Ellibelle's Critters and Creatures Linky Party 2
