Mint Owl Studio Release Day!!! YAY!!!!

Party like a rock, party like a rock star... oh yeah!  Because it is release day with Mint Owl Studio, and you are going to love this release!  In this months  release you will find a mix of end of school year, summer and pretty florals to please your crafty pallets!  I am sharing a card I've created for the new release with the Class Act Stamp...

I was so excited to see this stamp set, because I have been needing a set just like this for end of the year and teacher appreciation.  Plus this set can work as encouragement or happy first/last day of school cards! It is just so versatile, and these kind of sets are priceless!

To create my card I started by stamping my ruler border with the help of my MISTI I then stamped the inside before coloring it in with Copics.  I then layered it with patterned paper and ta-da!

Now snap on over to the shop to see the full release and to get your hands on them too!

Mix It Up Challenge Take #2

Hi!  I am baaaack!  I have had some fun time while the little ones are napping and just had to play one more time with the Essentials by Ellen Mix it Up Challenge with Taylored Expressions, check it...

I just love when a product can take all of the thinking out of a project like this new Full Bloom die by Taylored Expressions and the gorgeous handwritten sentiment is from the Essentials by Ellen Fancy Thanks stamp set LOVE IT!  Just mix a few colors of card stock together, diecut, stamp and add one little dot and ta-da!!!

Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge

Hello!  It is finally Spring here in Ohio, yay!!!  It is going to be 68 today, woot woot!  Today I'm sharing a soft card that I've created for the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge.  This time they are mixing it up with Taylored Expressions, and I decided to create a Sympathy Card.  I never like making Sympathy cards as I'm sure we all can agree, but they are good to have on hand.  I mixed the Wild Garden Designer Dies and Tailored Expressions Care and Comfort Set...

I diecut all of the florals from vellum for a soft elegant touch, and since I was using a colored background I decided to continue with the softer side of things and embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder.  The sequins have two jobs: 1. They add interest and keep the card moving, 2. They are a great distraction and way to hide where you adhere the vellum to the paper.

Sneak Peek With Mint Owl Studio

Woot woot!  It's sneak peek time, oh yeah!  Mint Owl Studio has some wonderful new sets releasing this weekend and full details can be found on the Mint Owl Studio Blog so make sure you pop over there next! :)

This new set is called I Scream - You Scream, and it has so many fun images and sentiments!  I created my card by stamping the little ice pop onto separate cardstock and coloring it in.  I then added the little face, cause it just had to have a face right?  I also had to add some sparkle to the top part with wink of stella, and then topped it all off with some glossy accents.  After layering several patterned papers together, I stamped my sentiment in a coordinating purple and finished it with a few sequins from the Royalty Sequin Mix.

I can not wait to see what you will create with this set when you order yours!
