Hello and happy weekend!  Today I am up on the CAS-ual Friday Blog sharing a bright and uplifting card with you today...

To create this card I started with the negative of the Smile die from a previous project from the Smiling Fri-dies collection.  With the help of my MISTI I was able to stamp the sun image from the Sunbeams stamp set several times with various colors of ink to create an ombre effect right along the edge of the cut.  I then stamped the sentiment in a matching orange ink below the sun.

Go. See. Do.

Hiya!  I have a new layout to share... yay!!!  I might be a little late on joining the May 15th sketch from Creative Scrappers ( yes!  This challenge is now re-open!!! *squeal* ), but I loved it so much I had to play along...

And here is what I've created...

This layout is a fun mix of papers and embellishments including Elle's Studio, Pink Fresh Studio, Amy Tan, and some Hip Kit Exclusives.

Chase Your Dreams... An Interactive Card

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!  So I finally bit the bullet and had to jump on the interactive card band wagon... and I have to admit... it was pretty darn fun! hehehe!  And totally addicting!  I knew the Mint Owl Studio Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set would be awesome for such a card, and it was!  Check it out... ( sorry I went a little photo crazy on this one, haha! )

Is this fun or what?  I must add that I mixed this stamp set with the Sunny Day Stamp Set.  To create this card I used a die cut intended for holding gift cards and with a little extra foam adhesive and a penny my butterfly is able to fly across the front of my card!  I used copies to color all of my images in and around the edges.  I also added some white spots to my flying butterfly with a white gel pen, and of course she needed some sparkle so I busted out my Wink of Stella too!

Peek-a-boo Baby

Hello!  I am popping in today to share a super cute card I made using some of my new goodies from Create a Smile Stamps :)...

Isn't he so darn cute?!  When I first saw the Poppin' Over set I just knew it had to come live with me, and the Magical Frame cool cuts works perfectly with this set, so I brought both of them home hehehe!  To create this card I started by diecutting the frame from Savoy 100% cotton bright white yardstick in 118#.  True this isn't specifically watercolor paper, but it works wonderfully as such ( and it's a bit cheaper if you pick up the pre-trimmed at Cutcardstock.com ).  I then used my Zig Watercolor markers on a piece of plastic, spritzed and smooshed it all over the front until it was completely covered.  While this dried I stamped the elephant and colored him in with my favorite coloring medium: Copics, and finally fussy cut him out.  Once my panel was dry I really loved the look of layering with a stencil that Christine used on the Create a Smile post and so I used one of my favorite Star Stencils from Memory Box and went over the front with Distress Ink in Broken China.  I then stamped my sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black, and tucked the elephant's head behind the frame so he could peek out and his little hands in front of the frame for added depth.

Aspire for Greatness...

Hello and Happy Sunday!  We have had a really nice weekend so far, walking in our local March for Dimes Walk, Lego club, Bookstore time, Family basketball and park...  busy and fun!  Today I am popping in to share a CAS card I've created for a few very awesome challenges: CAS-ology: #200 CAS, Simon Says Stamp: Mask It, and the June Altenew Challenge...

To create this card I started by stamping the leaf image from You Are by Altenew on the top of a white panel and on the bottom.  I then masked both of them and stamped the image once more in the middle.  Next I removed the masks, colored and cut along the right edge of the images.  I then die cut stitching along a side of vellum and adhered it behind the leaves and to the card base on the left side.  I stamped the sentiment twice, once in a light grey and slightly above that with black Versafine ink.  I finished it all off with a strand of clear sequins.

STAMPlorations CAS Challenge for June

Hello!  I'm here today sharing my take on the new CAS Challenge at STAMPlorations.  This month the twist is to use the color blue... remember all products and projects are welcome as long as they are clean and simple...

To create this card I started by masking and stamping the balloons and strings with a blue ink from the Balloons and Banners Stamp Set.  I then colored them in with blue Copics.  Next, I stamped the fun star background found in the same stamp set in a lighter blue ink, and finally the sentiment.  I then die cut the panel and propped it up on pattered paper with a strip of white glitter washi.  I topped it all off with some blue, silver and white sequins.

I can not wait to see what you create for this challenge!
