Foil Meets Sheena Douglas' New Collection: Crafters Companion
Happy weekend!!! I have a fun and shiny card to share with you today using a mix of Crafters Companion Foil Kits and the new Sheena Douglas Day of the Dead: Butterfly Rose Stamp Set...
I love how beautiful and easy these foil designs are to transfer onto paper! After trimming, adhering the design, and after adding the foil the rest of the card just fell into place. I stamped the butterfly image twice and colored them both in with the same Spectrum Noir Markers: PP5, CR8, DR3, OR1, OR10, HB1, LG2, LG4. The bottom butterfly was cut out in its entirety, while the second butterfly I only cut out the wings. I layered them onto each other and over the foiled flowers. The sentiment is from an AMuse Studio Stamp Set Called LabelMaker. I finished the card off with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers in Clear.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Teacher Door Plaque with ADORNit Products
Hello! It's Friday, and schools are ending all over the United States for some much needed Summer Vacation Time. For me it just means more work, haha! But I love every minute (ok minus the ones where they are arguing, but all of the other ones :) ). And with the end of the year approaching I like to make the teachers we've had this past year a little something special. I have always wanted to make a little sign for one of the teachers and this year I hopped to it as I had the perfect materials to work with from ADORNit. Check it out...
To create this plaque I started by painting the plaque found in the Carolee's Follow Your Arrow Wood Word Art Play Kit red and then going over it with a star stencil and glitter embossing paste. While this was drying I watercolored the center Teacher panel from the ADORNit Art Play Paintables: Wish On Stars Paper. I then added some number and letter sticks and finished the top off with some matching ribbon.
I can't wait for my kids to give these out! Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

AMuse Release Day 3
Hi! I am back with another peek at the awesomeness that is the new AMuse Release! Don't forget there is free shipping for $30 and up being spent in the store until the 31st. Now onto my project...
hehehe! I just love funny animal puns and this one is too cute! This scene was created with a mix of images and sentiment from the Hey Gull Friend Set and the Time to Party Set. The Hey Gull Friend set is a fun mix of sentiments and these two little birds.
I've also used new paper tape that will be available after this release in yellow stripe and blue polka dot. I've also popped this up on Petite Polka Dot in Papaya. And I couldn't finish it without a little bling like the Twinkle Stickers - mini dots, multi.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure you hope over to the AMuse Studio Blog for more inspiration and a giveaway!

AMuse Studio Release Day #2
It is Day #2 of release week for AMuse Studio and as you've probably already guessed this release is all about a beach/ocean theme. Todays peek is focused on a set called Gnarly Birthday, and it's such a fun magical set to play with...
He's so fun! I wanted to go totally cartoon and whimsical with this guy so I used a mix of fun colors as well as stamped and colored him in on 6x 6 Glitter White Cardstock. This cardstock is so smooth and soft, and I was happily surprised to find that my markers colored perfectly over top of it! And it's mess free! Double yay!!!
And of course the sentiment is too fun! I used a mix of dies on for the background including the Landscape Die, Postage Stamps Die set, and the matching Gnarly Birthday Dies. The blue Twinkle Stickers Multi Set.
Don't forget to check out the AMuse Studio Blog for more inspiration, peeks, and of course a giveaway that you don't want to miss!

AMuse Studio Release Week Day 1
Hiya! It is that wonderful time of the month where I get to share a few sneaks at new goodies that will be hitting the AMuse Studio store soon! Some awesome things are happening this month with AMuse Studio and one of them being free shipping with every $30 spent! WOOT WOOT! This awesome deal lasts until May31st, so you'll be able to get FREE SHIPPING on any of the new goodies you need to have your collection...
With that said I have to share my first sneak peek...
Bam! Isn't this awesome?! I have been wanting to make a diagram card for a while, and as soon as I saw the Let's Be Mermaids Stamp Set I just knew it would be perfect for it! You can find lots of tutorials on how to make a diagram card. I used the matching Let's Be Mermaids Dies to save time and to get a perfect line around the images. To create my openings I've used Pinking Circles 1A dies. I colored all of my images in with various Spectrum Noir Markers and hung the fish and seahorse with Silver Elastic Cording. The cardstocks I used include Solid Ocean, Solid Sugar, and Scallops Bermuda. I also added some bling in the background with Twinkle Stickers Clear and Mermaid Glitter.
Now this has to have your interest peeked by what else this release has in store! Make sure you head over to the AMuse Studio blog for more inspiration and a giveaway too!

You Rock!
**Find my first post of the morning by scrolling down!**
I don't know about you, but I seem to always find some of the hardest cards to make are the masculine ones. I love all things pink and sparkly, while the guys in my life do not. However, the CAS-ual Friday Stamps seem to make masculine cards easy (well easier I should say hehehe!). While you might not think a set called Flower Power screams masculinity, it all just depends on the design and colors to make it or break it as they say...
To create this card I started with a panel I had hand painted a long time ago, but had never gotten around to using. As I was looking through my "scraps" pile, this panel jumped out at me as a great masculine color scheme. Next I came aross the kraft frame and put the two together. I wanted a nice large sentiment to really pop off of the busy background, that's how my eyes were drawn to the Flower Power Stamp Set. While the sentiment is made up with flowers, I was able to distract the eyes from the flowers and focus more on the sentiment itself by heat embossing it with clear embossing powder onto patterned paper. I then fussy cut them out, adhered everything at fun angles and popped the sentiment up with foam adhesive before adding the sequins and enamel dots.
I hope you will pop by the CAS-ual Friday's Blog for more inspirational posts. And make sure you check out the store too! If you find something you need use my discount code to save a little $!

You Make Me A Happy Camper
It's time for a new MarkerPOP Challenge, woot woot! Which means fun, inspiration, and prizes!!! Here is the new inspirational photo...
If I had a tent that lit up like this you better believe I'd go camping, hehehe! And here is how I was inspired...
I couldn't help but go right to my Avery Elle Glamper Campers Stamp Set when getting crafty with this challenge! I stamped both campers onto cardstock, colored and cut them out. Next, I worked on my night sky with a mix of Distress Ink and Distress Oxide. I also added a few splashes of silver mist to represent stars in my sky. I love how the My Favorite Things Rectangle Frame Die makes it easy for any sentiment to pop out, while not distracting from the rest of the scene.
I hope you will join us in our bi-weekly challenge, just use some markers that are carried in the MarkerPOP store and you are good to go!
Happy Crafting!

Watercoloring With ADORNit and Zig Clean Color
It's Saturday, woot woot! And I have a bright and happy card to share that I've created with a mix of ADORNit products as well as Zig! Clean Color Markers...
This panel is part of the Think Happy Thoughts Watercolor Book. I LOVE these little watercoloring books as they are easy to take on the go, they can be used for lots of various projects (think framing, card making, even for pocket pages!), and the images/sentiments are awesome! I wanted an image that really popped so I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and a water brush.
I hope you have an amazing day and Happy Crafting!

Crafters Companion: Sheena Douglas's Newest Collection
Hello wonderful crafty friends!!! Today I'm popping in to share a fun to color butterfly image from the latest Sheena Douglas Day of The Dead Stamp Collection for Crafters Companion. This butterfly is beautiful and I couldn't help but to get it onto a card as soon as I was done coloring it :)...
I also love the large size of this image, making it easy to color and add dimension. To color this image in I used a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers and the Illustrator Markers in the following colors: PP1, PP3, PP5, PL1, PL4, CR8, DR3, LG2, LG4, TB1, TB3. I love that you can mix the various Spectrum Noir Markers, and that each kind offers a different nib. After coloring the image in I cut it out and adhered it to a white doily and a mix of patterned papers. Once it was all put together it needed a touch of shine so I grabbed my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Marker and went over the entire image...
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a fabulous start to your weekend!

ADORNit Flamingo Layout
Hi! I'm just popping in this Monday with a layout I've created with some of the newer ADORNit papers! All of these papers are available at Scrapbook.com
This is a pretty easy layout. Most of it came together just by playing with a few already cut pieces and layering them together. I added my own wood embellishments and sequins and let the paper do the rest!

Crafters Companion on HSN May 9th!!!
Hello, hello! It's the end of the week and we are getting even closer to the new Crafters Companion HSN release!!! yay!!! Today I'm popping in with a mixed media piece that I've created with some of the new Sheena Douglas Create a Flower Stencils and Dies...
For the background I've used a mix of the Create a Flower Stencils: Dissolving planets (with spray mist) and Slightly Barbed (with embossing paste). The dies are actually the positive cuts from the Create a Flower Dies: Going in Spirals and Cool Corrosion. Finally I added some beads for more texture and a sentiment from the Foil Transfers Kit that is already available on HSN. This foil transfer kit is amazing and requires no heat! woot woot!
All of this and more will be available on HSN starting May 9th!!! yay! There will also be an awesome event on Facebook to celebrate this release and possibly some giveaways so make sure you join the group here.

Floating By With CAS-ual Friday's Stamps
Hello! I hope you had a nice weekend! This weekend was great, super busy, but great. My son made his first Communion, and he was so handsome! ( I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom either hehehe!) But now we are back to a new week and I'm over on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog sharing a fun shaped card using on of the newer Floating Stamp Set...
To create this card I started by die cutting the shape of the card. Next, I added the sentiment and went over it with Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped and colored the image on a separate cardstock before cutting it out. I used a pen blade to get the thin area between the rope lines. To finish it all off I aded some enamel dots.
And if you can't get enough of this beautiful new stamp set then you need to hurry over and pick it up for yourself as there are only 3 left! Oh and use my code to save some spending money too!
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
Oh, and I have to share a pic now that I talked about my handsome son hehehe...
