Lady Luck with V's Sweet Ideas

Hello!  This is a bit of a sad post today as this will be the last V's Sweet Ideas Challenge for a little while.  I've been with Vanessa and her team from it's start and absolutely love working with her fun stamps and products, you can check them out in her store by clicking here.  Anywho, this month's challenge is called Lady Luck, and you can interpret this any way you want...

I've created this card with V's Sweet Ideas Coffee Break Stamp Set... I love this image and the green from Starbucks had me thinking luck for this challenge so I've used Lucky Clover Distress ink and some Copics for coloring.  A touch of glitter cardstock set it off :).

Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you will be creating for this challenge!

Feeling 29 still hehehe and a new Challenge

Hello!  So today's my Birthday, and I'm hoping that it has moments of quiet, peace, laughter, love, and just being present... I'll let you know how that works out ;) haha!  Anywho, today also starts a new challenge for V's Sweet Ideas, yay!!!  We took the month off last month to just kind of chill after the Holiday rush, and now we are ready to bring back the inspiration and see what you're creating as well.  This time we are challenging you to LOVE Pink... make any creation you want using lots of pink!  Here is what I've created...

To create this card I used the V's Sweet Ideas Sweet Break Stamp set and a no line watercoloring technique. ( Well I tried to make it no line, but you can still see some of the lines )  I used lots of distress inks as well as some sequins from the shop in Blush, Moonshine, and Mambo Mellon.

I am linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

No. 1 Dad... V's Sweet Ideas Monthly Challenge

Hello beautiful people!!!  Today is the first of the month, so it is time to get crafty with a new challenge over at V's Sweet Ideas... woo hoo!!!!  This month we are challenging you to use a favorite technique on your projects!  Since Suit Up is the newest stamp to be released by V's Sweet Ideas, I decided to get inky and use my current favorite technique: watercoloring...

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Suit Up ( V's Sweet Ideas )
Ink: Versamark
Dies: Stitched Rectangles ( Lawn Fawn )
Distress Markers
Watercolor brush
Patterned Paper: Lillybee Designs

I started by stamping my images with waterproof ink onto watercolor cardstock.  Next I diecut the rectangles.  I colored just the bottom of the coat and pulled the color up with my watercolor brush.  I then did this for each part of the suit.  Once it was dry I went back over the areas where I wanted a concentration of color with the marker and the brush.  Finally I painted a bright yellow background.  I felt like it needed some more pizzazz, but I wanted to be carefully to not make it girly.  When I came across the "metal" looking dew drops and 1 I knew they were perfect!  I also decided to frame it in with a Fiskars corner punch.

I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes
the AAA Cards: For the Guys
and The Paper Girls Challenge: Father's Day

I hope to see you join us in this month's challenge!  Make sure you stop by V's Sweet Ideas Shop too, she just got in some new ribbons, bags, and don't forget the new Suit Up Stamp Set!!!!

V's Sweet Ideas Challenge

Hello!  It is time for a new challenge at V's Sweet Ideas, woo hoo!!!  And this one is a favorite because it is Anything Goes!  Just get a little crafty and share it with us for your chance to win.  Today I created a little Easter tag using the new V's Sweet Ideas Easter Fun Stamp Set ( which happens to be on sale right now, double score! )...

I created this tag by first stamping the basket on water colored paper with distress ink.  I then masked and stamped the three eggs.  Next I water colored with distress inks, stamped my sentiment and die cut the oval shape.  Tie on some ribbon and twine, and ta-da!

I am adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes

V's Sweet Ideas Spots and Circles Challenge

Hello!!! This is my first post of the day so check back later to see the new Poppy Sketch Challenge... Now onto sharing the new challenge for V's Sweet Ideas!!! We are all about circles and spots this month, so start those creative muscles and get spotty/dotty with us!  Here is my take on the challenge:

Supplies Used:
Stamps: V's Sweet Ideas ( Life Recorded Set)
