Scrapbook LO and challenge entry!

Hello!  Today I am sharing a beautiful scrapbook LO I made using a challenge requirement as my inspiration!

I used the Scrap It Girl's Challenge for the week ( to include a tag or ticket on your LO ) as my inspiration, and I love having the little tag as my journaling spot!  I placed it snuggly in a little pocket on the page and decorated it with alphabet stickers, some i-rock bling, and a pink ribbon tied on top.  The paper is from my little girl stash ( sorry I had already cut the name off before I even started the project! ), and I used basic white cardstock to background some of the photos.  I used punch out words from K & Co. friends scrapbook set for the heart to heart and the happy together sentiments.
Thank you so much for looking and please stop by Scrap It Girl's Challenge, because I simply love her work and love these challenges she has created for us!
Also please stop by You Had Me At Craft to see what others have created for week 12 I made it myself!

Birthday Card for a challenge!

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend!  I wanted to share a card I made for my hubby's grandfather for his 90th Birthday, as well as for a challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays!

I used paper from a stack of 6 X 6 " paper that I won from Tiffany at Inkblots by TRD, thank you!!!  The sentiment was typed using the Calligraphy Cartridge, and the top design cut was from the Storybook cartridge cut in half and embossed using my Sizzix Texture Boutique.  I then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Tea Dye distressing ink, added some faux stitching in brown, a brown button tied with tree twine, and topped off with some Jolee's bling applied with my I-Rock tool!  I love how simple it is, and how well it turned out!  The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was to include some embossing, so please go check out what others have created for this challenge!  Thanks so much for looking and for any comments!

Polka - dot fun!

This week over at The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #75 is polka dots!  I was so excited because I absolutely love polka dots!  They always make me happy!  So I decided to use polka dots for a simple card I made for a friend's little girl who is in the hospital right now... hopefully it will bring some smiles!

Thank you so much for looking and do stop by their site to see what others have created this week too!

Baby Shower gift, and new type of mini album!

Hello everyone!  I am so happy to finally have a post for all of you!  Sorry it has been a while, sometimes life just pulls you in too many directions at once, but I am happy to finally have a second to sit down and share some of my latest crafty fun!  I learned how to make this new ( and super simple ) type of mini album by watch this youtube video.  After watching how simple this is to make you'll have to get your paper out and get to it!  What could be easier than cutting out a bunch of circles?  And look at how cute mine turned out...
( warning: I have a LOT of pictures, hehehe! )

I used Basic George to cut out my circles ( fit to page on a 12 X 12 ), I then folded them as shown on the video and attached the circles together with my Scotch ATG adhesive,  next I made double mats for the pictures ( all 4 X 3 " ), I added journal circles from baby boy line by creative memories.  I used the New Arrival Cartridge for the train, bath tub, baby buggy, truck, and airplane.  The rest of the decorations are from various stickers in my "baby stash".  The smaller outside circles were punched out from scraps of the larger circles.  I added a button on the front from my stash and popped it up with Paper Studio Sticky Doos, and added some twin to the back with a loop on it to hook onto the button to keep it closed if desired.  Additional products used: little feet stamp and memories black dye ink, as well as my white gel pen.

I am so very happy with the way this all turned out, and I can't wait to see what baby pictures my sister will have to put in it!

I am entering this into:
My Pink Stamper - Show your style!  ( this project uses stamping, cuts, and some glitter all my style! )

Thank you and Happy Crafting!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Entry - Up! Up! And Away!

Hello crafty friends! I just wanted to share a quick little post for CAS-ual Friday's Challenge using glue dots
( loved this challenge! ).  And be on the look out I have been fairly crafty around here lately, but most of the things I've made are gifts for others that I can't share so as not to ruin the surprise for them, so soon I will be able to post these projects!  Without further delay...

What are these pretty little balloon baskets made with?  Glue Dots!!!  I love this idea and I have no idea why I have not thought to do this before!  You simply put the glue dot on, manipulate it to the shape you want and then add glitter!  Viola!
Paper : echo park
Stamps: balloons - JoAnn's dollar section, and sentiment from Clear Stamps by Paper Studio
Watercolor Colored Pencils
Glue Dots
Glitter : Martha Stewart
Memories Dye Inkpad : black

As a crafter if you do not own Glue Dots you need to jump out there and buy some now, because I use them on almost everything!  I love how strong they are and the different sizes they come in, they are great for sticking buttons on things, ribbon, and various other materials.  I also plan on trying a new technique using wet embossing with them, so be on the look out for that soon!  Thanks so much, and please go to CAS-ual Fridays to check out what others have created for this fun challenge!
