Sneaky Peeky Time at The Alley Way Stamps!

Hello! Happy Monday and Happy Sneaky Peeky Day!!!! I love when I get to share a peek at a new stamp set from The Alley Way Stamps... and today I'm showing you part of the All Wrapped Up Stamp Set.  This set is so stinking cute and fun!

I created this card by embossing the snowflakes on my back panel, adding the tree branch and sentiment.  I then matted it with glitter paper, and lots of paper piecing on the little bird image.  He is just so fun and I couldn't help but put this sentiment with his grumpy little face hehehehe!

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes

and make sure you stop by The Alley Way Stamps Blog for more sneak peeks and a chance to win this new set!!!

New Poppy Sketches Challenge!!!

Hello!  Today starts a new Poppy Sketches Challenge, yay!!!  Take a look at the new sketch and twist...

And here is my take:

I started by stamping my "spooky" forest and sentiment.  I then went over it with two different purple distress inks and black to give it a misty look on a dark night.  Then I stamped my little monster guy on separate paper, colored, fussy cut and added with foam adhesive.  I then added some stars as the "lines" seen in the sketch.

We can't wait to see what you will create for this challenge!  This week we are sponsored by the Starving Artists Stamps so make sure you click over to the challenge blog for more inspiration and details!

Happy Crafting!

Innocent Beauty Layout

Happy Friday! Me again!  This time I'm here to share something that is not my norm on a layout, but this led me to thinking... this layout that I am sharing has a bit more mixed media in it, but it is still me in the fact that it is a clean and somewhat simple layout, and sometimes I think I get so bogged down with trying to "stay true to me" that I forget to just let it come... everything I create IS me.  So with that said I am so happy to share this layout that is also being shared on the SweetStamps.com blog today...

I started this layout by laying down my pink and black polk a dot patterned papers and going over them with Gesso.  From there I added more patterned papers and my photo.  Next I heat embossed my Piccolo Accents in various Enamel Embossing Powders (all of which you can get at SweetStamps.com), layered them on my layout and added pearls, sequins, twine and my title.

Make sure you join us in our Weekly Challenge: Use Your Favorite Embellishment

I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge

No Sentiment Needed

Sometimes I like to create cards that don't require a sentiment on the front.  This gives me lots of options as a sender on what occasion this card will be sent... plus I don't think every card needs to have a front sentiment.  Sometimes just the design is enough.

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew (Hennah Elements)
Patterned Paper: MME
Ink: Memento
Mister Hueys: Studio Calico
Rhinestones: KaiserCraft and Recollections
Ribbon
Paint Brush
Foam Adhesive

I based this card on the Altenew September Challenge:

I've created one card already based on this photo, but I love their stamps so much and this inspiring photo that I took another look at it and saw something different this time.  I was struck this time by the fact that the flowers in the photo are not colored but are merely stamped images... and so that's where my card started.

I wanted to add some of the yellow and grey to my patterned "wood" paper so used my Mister Huey Spray Mists, removed the lids and applied them with a paintbrush.

I've also added this to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes

Thank you for taking the time to visit me today!
Happy Crafting!
Lisa
