Crafty Doodle Chick and the Doodle Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello!!!  It's time for the first ever Crafty Doodle Chick Blog Hop, YAY!!!!  And today we are celebrating their 6 month anniversary (it's still just a baby, but growing quickly!).  Jennifer, the store owner, is super amazing and her store has great prices on shipping plus fantastic customer service.  It's always nice to support a small store when you can, and this store definitely deserves some love! There are lots of big and small name companies to be found in her store as well including the new releases of Lawn Fawn, My Favorite Things, Altenew, and so many more.

I'm working with a newer to me company called Flora and Fauna for todays hop, and more specifically with the Love Bug Dress Up Set.  Most of the Flora and Fauna sets are whimsical and this set is no different, I love all of the ways you can dress the two cars up.

For my first card I stamped the unicorn ears, eyes, stars and the sentiment with Versafine Ink.  Then I had fun with colors and used various ink sprays to cover my panel.  Next, I die cut the panel, did a little coloring on my unicorn and added rhinestones.

For my next card I created a whole scene this time using one of the cars...

After I stamped, masked and colored in my scene I created a frame from the Sunny Studio Stamps Paper Pad called Rainbow Bright.  I then finished the rest of the card with more of the patterned paper, and it ended up being a very happy way to send someone a hello!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and I hope you've enjoyed what I've created!  Make sure you continue on the hop and stop by the Crafty Doodle Chick Blog for giveaway details!  You might want to check

Thinking of You with CAS-ual Friday Stamps

Hi!  It's Monday and today I am sharing a pretty floral card over on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps Blog.  Last week CAS-ual Fridays had a wonderful new release, and today I'm playing with the new Peaceful Garden Stamp Set and the Garden Fri-dies...

These stamps and dies have quickly become a favorite of mine as they are fun to mix and match with and so versatile!  To create today's card I started by stamping my sentiment in the middle of my cardbase, from there I was able to frame the sentiment in and dress it up with a beautiful mix of flowers and gems.  The paper I've used is from an older Fancy Pants Paper Pad that has a great variety of plain colored sheets as well as patterned sheets.

If you'd like to grab this stamp set or die set make sure you use my coupon code to save 15% off of your total purchase!

CAS-ual Fridays Release Day 3

Woo hoo!!!  We are half way through the week, and today I am so excited to share my favorite set of the new release it's called Peaceful Garden, and the best part... there are matching dies!!!! My project today uses just the stamp set as I couldn't wait to ink up the layers of each image...

This card is pretty straight forward, as it includes lots of stamping and I kept it all one layer.  I finished it off with a few crystals and a gray cardbase.  The sentiments in this set are so pretty too!  I love the script, and it showed through nicely when I stamped it directly over my colored flowers.

And you can already grab everything in the store now!!!  But don't forget to use my discount code...

CASual Friday Stamps Release Day 2

Hello!  Today I am back again with a new release post for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, yay!!!!  We have another smaller set called Best Day Ever, and there is a matching die available too.  This set has a nice large sentiment with flowers...

For my card I've used a mix of the stamps and the dies.  My sentiment was created by layering the die cut words three times and then I went over the top layer with a black Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen.  Next, I stamped and cut the flowers with matching paper and ink for a tone on tone look.  I adhered everything onto various cardstocks and ribbon.

And all of these are available for you to pick up now woot woot!!!!  Plus I have a discount code for you to save while shopping...

Layton's Legacy Card Drive and Fundraiser Blog Hop

Hello!  I am so honored to be able to contribute just a small part to this amazing blog hop being hosted by the wonderful Lea Lawson.  My project is being shared on the CAS-ual Friday Stamps Blog, and there are so many other beautiful projects to check out along the way.  I encourage you to start over on Lea's blog for full details about this hop and fundraiser, and how you can join in too.

My family has been touched by a short NICU stay as so many others.  My oldest son was born with pneumonia and had to stay a full week in the NICU.  While our time is nothing compared to the stay so many others face I will always remember how amazing the NICU was itself.  The nurses went above and beyond, I never felt like I was in the way, and I was always informed of everything that was happening.  Those nurses are truly angels that do so much for so many.  As a parent the NICU can be a scary place at times and I hope that the cards collected as well as the donations can help brighten so many of their days.

The beautiful inspirational photo we were given drove my choice in stamp set as well as color scheme...

And here is what I've created...

For my card I've used the Somebunny Stamp Set and Matching Dies as well as the Heartfelt Sayings Stamp Set.

And here is some more important information from Lea Lawson:
WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
1. DONATE! - directly to Layton's Legacy YouCaring Fundraiser. For every $5 donated, you will be entered into the drawing for one of the prizes above!! All winners will be drawn from donations made thru the YouCaring Site. **Prizes will be drawn and announced here on my blog on Saturday, May 19th.**
2. SHARE! - I know that not everyone is able to donate, but sharing about the fundraiser gives it more visibility! Please feel free to share the YouCaring Link or this post on all your social media outlets!
3. SHOP!
-Pinkfresh Studio will be donating 10% of TODAY'S sales, and offering a 15% off discount to you for shopping!

-CAS-ual Fridays Stamps will be donating 15% of their sales thru May 19th.
-Lea's affiliate linking dollars will be donated thru May 19th.

4. CREATE! - this is also a card drive, and if you'd like to create a card using the theme/moodboard below, I would love that! I will be including these handmade treasures with the giftcards when I hand them over to the NICU social worker, and my dream is that the NICU will be covered in beautiful creations inspired by Layton!! Link them up HERE, and then please email me (lea@lealawsoncreates.com) to get the address for sending - and note that I will need them to arrive by May 31st.

HOW TO STAY UPDATED:
There are two ways to stay updated on the fundraising progress, and to see photos as I drop items off at the NICU.
1. Subscribe to the Lea Lawson Creates blog via email using the prompt in the upper right corner - then you will get email notifications when I add a new post.
2. Follow Lea Lawson Creates on Instagram. I will add photos & videos to my IG Stories, and likely go LIVE a few times throughout the fundraising effort and as we drop everything off at the NICU!
Anything you can do can help a mom or dad thrust into NICU life feel like someone out there cares about them as they go through a time that is very scary and very hard. THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart for helping me do this!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today and Happy Crafting/Hopping!!!

Crafty Doodle Chick Challenge #3

Woot woot!  We are up to the third challenge hosted by Crafty Doodle Chick, and this one is all about the girls...

To create this card I started by layering various colored squares onto one 9 x 12 " Bristol Paper.  You can create a textured watercolor look with one color, by randomly layering the same color on top of each other and letting each layer dry before adding the next one.  Once I was satisfied with the look of each color I randomly die cut various layers from the Altenew 3D Rose Die Set.  While this set is currently sold out, there is another beautiful 3D Die set called Peony Dream.

Since, I had used bright colors for the flowers I knew I wanted to pop them against a black background but I didn't want the whole card front to be black.  Honestly I started out by spritzing the Altenew Leaf Burst Stencil with a Silver Mist onto a white panel to use as a background for my card. But while I was about to clean the reverse side of the stencil I decided to just smoosh it onto another card panel, and I loved the result of this so much more than my first panel so I went with it! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out what I've created for this challenge!  I hope you will take sometime to join us this month for your chance to win a $10 gc.

Things with Wings and STAMPlorations

Hello!  Today starts a new  CAS STAMPlorations Challenge called Things with Wings, and I'm excited to share my take on it...

To create this card I started by Stamping the beautiful butterfly image across my card front. Next I colored them in with a mix of Spectrum Noir Markers to create a beautiful rainbow effect.  I also wanted to add more details to the coloring so I went back in with my Spectrum Noir Blendable Pencils in slightly darker colors.  I then went over the wings with a clear Sparkle Marker.  I adore this sentiment from the Wonderful Life Set, but in order to make it work with my card I needed to cut the sentiment in half so I could space it out.  And I LOVE it!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!
Happy Crafting!
