Happy Barkday!

Hi friends!  I'm back again with a just for fun card this week.  I've been dying to join in a few of the MFT Challenges that they run on their blog, and I finally had some time to play around...

This card was based on the MFT Color Challenge...

To create my card I used the colors from the challenge to color my images from the Little Buddies set in ( the animals were based on my own two furry critters, but the rest of the colors match ).  I then cute the images out, added a hat from the Birthday Bears Set.  I then adhered my images onto a few cuts from one of by MFT Blueprint die sets.  Complete with some MFT plaid paper.  Throw on a few confetti sequins and bam!  Card complete and perfect for a boy like my son.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!

Rainbow of a Challenge

Hello!  Did you see the newest challenge at Crafty Doodle Chick last week?  It makes me so so happy...

Yay!  This is such a fun challenge, and I hope you will join along as you have until April 21st to join us for a chance to win a $10 gc to the Crafty Doodle Chick store, woot woot!!!

To create my fun rainbow card I used a mix of the Sunny Studio Birthday Balloon Die and the MFT Die-namics Hooray.   I popped them up on a black background to really help the colors pop, and I added a little coloring along the bottom part of my sentiment die.  The Balloon strings were drawn with a white gel pen and the sequins were the finishing touch.

I can't wait to see what you will create for this new challenge!

You Are Koalafied...

Hi!  I'm excited to be sharing my first post on the Crafty Chick Doodle Blog today, yay!  I decided to play with the super cute Koalafied Stamp Set by Gerda Steiner Designs, and I've made a super fun and bright card to cheer anyone up...

To create my card I started by adding some fun panels of patterned paper, and a diecut circle strip from MFT Blueprints 31.  Next, I stamped and colored in the adorable Koala and sentiments from the Koalafied Stamp Set.  I decided to pop the Hug sentiment up with some foam adhesive, and ta-da!

I hope you'll get a chance to pop by and check Crafty Doodle Chick out, this is a new crafting store that is going to start offering more and more goodies as time goes on, and we love to support our little stores here in the crafting community so give them a chance!  The shipping rates are awesome too by the way!  And I have a code for you to use until 1-14-18  to get 10% off of your order!  Psssttt - new MFT goodies are in the shop now...

Happy Crafting and Shopping!!!

MarkerPOP Challenge Fall Style

Hello, hello!  I would say Happy Fall, but here in Ohio we have been sweltering in this 90 degrees weather, hehehe!  But I'm going fall here on the blog for the newest MarkerPOP Challenge, based on this inspirational photo...

And here is what I've created with my favorite leaf die set by Lawn Fawn...

I love the look of inlaid die cutting, so that's exactly what I did!  My sentiment is a favorite older set by Altenew and I used gold embossing with a  strip of vellum behind it.

Make sure you head over to the MarkerPOP Blog for more details and to find out what the prize is.  Plus there is a giveaway and a BIG challenge with some amazing prizes.

MarkerPOP Challenge #129

Hi friends!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far, we've had fun with soccer and cheerleading along with some nice weather.  Today I'm popping in with a little bit of crafty fun with the new MarkerPOP Challenge #129...

And here is what I've created based on this color palette...

To create this card I've used the new My Favorite Things More Monsters.  I LOVE the cute little faces on them! I then used the same colors as I used on my monsters in my galactic background with Gansai Tambi Watercolors and Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment, and created a "gold planet" for my little monsters to stand on.

I can't wait to see what you'll create for this new challenge!  Don't forget to check out the awesome prize up for grabs too!

MarkerPOP Challenge

Hiya!  Today starts a new challenge on the MarkerPOP Blog, and I just love the magical photo we have to inspire you with...

So pretty!  And this is what I was inspired to create...

To create this card I started by diecutting my "starry" sky.  I actually used the My Favorite Things Snowfall Horizontal Die.  When I added some gold cardstock behind it, it worked perfectly as stars.  Next I diecut my grass with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders Die 1 with a dark green cardstock to play into the night scene.  I then stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the MFT Birthday Bears Stamp Set.  I then stamped the bear and stars onto separate cardstock and colored them in with Copic Markers.  I wanted it to look like the star was lighting up in the bears hands so I used a gradual darker brown on one side of the bear and lighter colors on the side holding the star.  I then added some tickles to the stars for a final touch.

I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!  All products are welcome as long as you use some form of markers carried in the store you're project is welcome!

Happy Crafting!
