Hippity Hop Easter's On It's Way...

Hello and Happy beautiful Spring!!!  With Easter right around the corner the birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and crafters are busily making their Easter cards for all of the fun challenges going on... so here is my Easter card for just such a thing...

Materials Used:
Patterned Paper: Tim Holtz
Ribbon : Cassa Collection
Distress Inks and Stain: Tim Holtz
Blending Tool: Ranger
Mist: Perfect Pearls
Adhesives: Scotch and Glue Dots
Other: Toilet Paper Roll, wired flowers

I didn't stamp a sentiment because there is one printed already on the little bunny cards, but because the Tim Holtz paper has a faded look it is hard to tell in the picture: " Easter Joys Be Yours ".

And how did I use the toilet paper roll you might be asking? See that little cork screw over the flower stems?  That's right... that's my roll!  I cut a piece off of the roll, stained with my distress stain on both sides, then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls Mist in Gold and twisted it around a thin pencil... viola!  I loved it so much that I've started another card using these same cork screws... but that's for another day! hehehe! ( It's like Friday's at the end of a Soap Opera, one must be left hanging to make sure you return on Monday. )

I am entering this into:

Cards: Easter Challenge

Delightful Inspiration LO

Hello!  Today I am here to share my Lo based on the sketch over at Artful Delight!  If you have never seen their kits then you don't know what you are missing because they are delicious!  So here was my take for this months challenge:

And here is the sketch provided:

Materials Used:
Patterned Paper - Martha Stewart ( just one piece front and back! love that! ) Title - from my scraps pile, My Creative Memories - Story Box
Basic George Cartridge
EK Success Edge Punch
Paper Studio Sticky Doos
We R Memory Keepers Clear stamp
PTI Ink
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Paint Brush

I used a new fun and easy technique for myself on this layout.  I used Tim Holtz Ink in Broken china dabbed a paintbrush in the ink and then just smashed it onto the white strip of paper, it gave me a water look and took away from the starkness of the white... fun and super simple just the way I like it!
Thanks for stopping by make sure you stop by Artful Delight, you'll be happy you do!

Kissing...

I know you all clicked on this just because of the title... intriguing right?  Well it sure is in the stamping world, because I'm talking about stamp kissing!  It's a real thing!  ( I had never heard or thought of it until I came across this Simon Says Challenge, but I am still a stamper newbe! )  Let's just say I'm in love with this technique too... Basically you "kiss" two stamps together and then stamp either one or the other onto your project.  Here is my take on this challenge...

Patterned Paper : Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Hero Arts, Hampton Art, and Technique Tuesday
I-Rock Tool and Gems
Color Box Ink - Raisin
Color Box Mixed Media Ink
