One Kind Word... New MarkerPOP Challenge
Hi! Welcome to a new bi-weekly challenge hosted by MarkerPOP, so make sure you pop on over to their blog for more inspiration and full challenge rules. I'm popping in here to share my take on this weeks challenge...
I loved the idea of an all grey card, but I wasn't fully feeling the winter scene as we have had some crazy warm days here in Ohio. So instead I went with a wintery saying mixed with a beautiful floral image. Both of these stamp sets are by Altenew and are from the Beautiful Quotes Set and the Botanical Garden (which is currently on sale, yay!). For coloring in my image I've used Copic® Markers in C0, C1, C3, C5, and C7. I also used a white gel pen and the Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen Set for a beautiful shine.
And here is what I've created...

Winnie and Walter: Cute Critter Challenge and Three Challenge
I'm back with card #2 today celebrating Winnie and Walter's Birthday!!! This time I have a new to me type of card to share, which include two die cut windows and a trifold. This card was inspired by the Winnie and Walter: Cute Critter Challenge and the Three Challenge: I used 3 stamps, 3 dies, 3 birds, 3 hearts, 3 panels to the card :)
To create this card I started by folding my cardbase into thirds. I then lined my largest circle die on the front panel and cut followed by diecutting a smaller circle in the second panel. I then stamped and colored the chicks, love, and heart balloon from the So Tweet Stamp Set, after they were die cut from the matching dies I added them layer by layer onto the panels. Once everything had dried I closed the panels and stamped the inside sentiment and hearts. I just love fun interactive cards don't you? Here's another peek at the layers in this card...
I am also linking this guy up to the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge
Thanks so much for visiting me today and feel free to scroll down to see my first post from earlier today!

Winnie and Walter: Off the Page and Blending
Hello! I'm back for day 2 sharing love for Winnie and Walter Products by playing along in their Birthday Challenges! Today's card was based on two of the challenges: Winnie and Walter: Off the Page Challenge and the Blending Challenge.
To create this card I originally has a masked heart on my panel and I began to cover the panel with Distress Ink in Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry, and Seedless Preserves. While I was doing this a part of my heart lifted and some of my ink was sorely sticking out where my masked heart should have been. I love the colors I had already blended and I didn't want to ditch the whole thing so I decided to cut out my masked heart and layer my panel to a cardbase instead. As you can see my heart goes off the page hehehe. I then stamped, colored, and die cut my little love birds from the So Tweet Set and added a sentiment inside the heart from The Big, The Bold, and The Happy set. I finished the whole card off with enamel dots in similar blended colors.
I am also linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope to see you later on when I share my next card for the challenge!

Winnie and Walter: Pattern-Making
My next card was a labor of love, but so worth it! This time I've created a card for the Winnie and Walter: Pattern Making Challenge. I've used The Big The Bold and The Extras for the roses and sentiment on this card...
Again I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
Lisa
I had so much fun coloring these roses colors of the rainbow with my Prismacolor Pencils. I was also proud of myself for remembering to leave highlights! After I colored the back panel I stamped and cut out the sentiment on the banner.
Again I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Anything Goes

Winnie and Walter: Stencil Challenge
Hi! It's Friday, woot woot! And for my blog today I'm making it a Winnie and Walter day! Woot, woot! They are currently celebrating their Birthday, with a month long of challenges, special guest designers and more, so make sure you stop by and check it out! This first post is for the Winnie and Walter: Stencil Challenge...
To create this card I started by going over my panel with an older stencil I've had in my stash and Glimmer Paste by Nuvo. I LOVE this glimmer paste, it's so beautiful, and in person the shine is drool worthy. For the flowers I stamped and embossed them with a silver embossing powder from the Lola's Bouquet Stamp Set. I then colored the back of them with Copic Markers and fussy cut them out. I finished it all of by stamping my sentiment from The Big The Bold and The Happy with white pigment ink onto black cardstock.
I am also linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge
I hope you'll stop by later with more of my takes on their challenges!

A DIY Fairytale Dream Cardmaking Kit
Hello! It is Lisa Lahiff here from the DCWV Social Media Design Team, and I have one Fairytale of a project to share with you today. When I was looking through my new stacks I came across the Fairytale Dreams Stack (available at JoAnns Stores) and I was inspired immediately! Not only is the stack full of beautiful patterns and sweet glitter designs, but it has a wonderful source of inspiration on it's front cover. You can always find these types of photos on the front covers of each stack, giving you new ideas and ways that the stack can be used. I was drawn to the pretty gift box, with what looked like a DIY card making kit on the inside. I decided to take this idea and make it my own. My daughter loves everything there is about fairytales and princesses, plus she loves to craft with me so I thought this would be the perfect gift for her!
Since I was making it for a child, I decided to switch the box to gift bags, that eventually were turned into purses. Because, let's face it every Princess needs a purse to carry with her. Both purses were made out of card stock found in the Stack and with the help of my Cricut® Explore Air2. Tip: When cutting this type of cardstock I set my machine right in between the poster board and bonded fabric cut setting to ensure a clean cut, especially on the glitter card stock sheets.
The card kit was the next thing to come together. I started by selecting my card stock and the pieces I would use to create embellishments.
And these are the pieces that ended up being included in the kit.
Isn't it amazing how much I was able to get out of this stack? And I still have half the stack left to use! LOVE it! And here is a peek at all of these things put together and being used by my own little princess...
And I would have to say that this DIY Card kit was a success!
I can't wait to see what inspires you when you create with your DCWV Stacks!
Happy Crafting!

Sending Big Hugs With The Ton
Hello and Happy Valentine's Day!!! Today I'm popping in with another for fun card (what the heck is going on here, free time for fun, say what?!) playing along with the February Challenge hosted by The Ton Stamps:
Today's card is quite a bit different from the one I shared on Saturday. This time I've gone totally classic and romantic with a larger 5 x 7" watercolored card.
To create this card I started with Stratton Watercolor 140# Card stock. I heat embossed the large peonies image from the Sending Peonies Stamp Set twice with Gold embossing powder. I then used the wet on wet approach for adding my first layer of color. Once this was completely dry I went back over the flowers with my Clean Color Brush Markers to add contrast and details. Again I let this dry completely before stamping the sentiment with a Versafine Ink and added blue shading around the edges with a foam applicator and Distress Ink. I had thought about adding sequins, but whenever I put them on the card it just didn't feel right, so I left it as is and reminded myself that sometimes less is more.
I am also linking this up to the Simon Says Stamp: Wed. Challenge Fantastic Florals

STAMPlorations TAGplorations Love Blog Hop!!!
Woo hoo!!! It is time for a Blog Hop celebrating our love for Tags and STAMPlorations! Make sure you are stopping by the STAMPlorations blog every day for inspiration, fun, and of course giveaways!!! The last day to comment is February 14th, so make sure you keep hopping along tomorrow too! Giveaway details at the end of the post, because now I'm going to share my tags...
I tell you I just can't get enough of the sentiments in the Funny Kinda Love Stamp Set!
To create this first tag I used the Luggage Tags Nesting Dies and Neenah Solar White Card stock. I stamped the image and sentiments first before coloring them in with Prisma Color Pencils. I then adhered some clear sequins, ribbon and twine to finish it.
This next tag is more simple in nature. After diecutting the tag I used the Zen Hearts Stencil with Distress Ink in Peacock. Since the stenciled image was too big to fit as a whole on the tag so I angled it and went over it with ink. I then added some dimension with Red Nuvo Drops. I liked the way the red popped against the blue so I decided to add a red ribbon too.
And I have a great discount code for you to use too! Save 20% off your total purchase! (Cannot combine this code with other codes, but you can use it on regular and sale price items!!!)
CODE: STAMPGIRLLISA
Well that's it for me! Stop over by the STAMPlorations Blog for more details and inspiration. Now for some giveaway details...
Prizes:
- (3) randomly drawn winners from all comments left on the STAMP blog and participating designers blog will each receive a $10 gift certificate to the store
- (1) randomly drawn participant in the Love TAGplorations linky party will receive her choice of stamp set (Pocket Blooms, A Full Heart, or Two of Us)

Love Always - MarkerPOP Bi-Weekly Challenge
Hello! I hope you are having a nice weekend so far! I'm popping in for some crafty fun as a new MarkerPOP Challenge is starting today, woot woot! Joining our challenges is so easy as the only thing that is required is that you use some type of marker that is carried in the MarkerPOP store. And if you are running low on your markers you totally want to hit the store up as she recently got a restock in Copic® Markers. Any who, enough enabling right? (by the way did I mention her marker prices are incredible? hehehe!) So onto this two week challenge inspirational photo...
Hello yummy photo! Not only does the popcorn look so good, but the colors make my mouth water too! (You don't find colors yummy? That's just me? huh... well let's move on then shall we?...)
And here is my take on the photo...
bwahahaha! Look! The birdies are on a date! I LOVE it!!! ( I also love exclamation points, but I think you already noticed that) I was inspired by the colors in the photo and the sprinkling of red. Right away my mind went to the Concord and 9th Love Always Stamp Set with the raining of hearts image. I also was drawn to the large tag in the photo and grabbed my Pretty Pink Posh Craft Die Set Stitched Duo 1. And to finish it off I used my Winnie and Walter So Tweet Stamp Set.
I hope to see you enter over the next two weeks for a chance to win a goody box of craft supplies! (who doesn't love surprises when it comes to crafting goodies?!)
Happy Crafting!

The Ton Challenge: Love
Hi! It's me, here on a Saturday... shut the front door! hehehe! I was able to squeeze in a little play time this week and I just had to play along with The Ton's newest challenge:
And so I went a little quirky and fun this month, throwing it back old school style with this take on the challenge...
To create this card I busted out an original set called Vintage Frames. This happens to be one of my first Ton sets and I still love it :) I grabbed a panel of black cardstock, stamped the frames all over it with Versamark ink and embossed them in various bright colors. I then incorporated the love them inside the frames with more heat embossing. Since the panel was so fun and funky in itself I just had to keep going and adhered it with a panel of bright pink cardstock at an angle.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my card today!
Happy Crafting!

Hello Lovely... A Layout with DCWV
Hello! Today I'm going to share a few step out photos on how my Ballerina Layout came together here and on the DCWV Blog...
First I want to let you know which stacks I used: The Ultimate Tag Stack and the Happy Day Stack. I LOVE the Ultimate Tag Stack, and it is a must in my craft room because it is so versatile. Plus, if you already own some DCWV stacks this is a great one to use for extra embellishments and more.
My first step was to work on my background. I wanted to add some matching color to help my grid design and photos pop. To do this I used Martha Stewart Gesso in White and Multi-Surface Pearl Paint in Pink Taffeta. I also added a few gold streaks. I applied all of this with a mix of my finger and an old gift card, but if you don't like the mess feel free to break out some brushes. Once this was all dry I adhered it to gold foil striped paper from the Happy Day Stack and then onto a piece of Kraft.
Next, I created a grid design by trimming out similar panels from the Ultimate Tag Stack and lining them up on my background.
Finally, I added my photos onto a mix of patterned papers, tag, and a pink doily that came from the Paper Lace 6 x 6 Stack (this one is available at Michaels). I then used various pieces from the stacks to fussy cut and adhere as embellishments.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Keep your eyes peeled for more projects and photos of the newest DCWV products that are arriving daily to your craft stores!
Happy Crafting!
