Callin' All Sistahs Monthly Blog Hop!!!

Hello!  I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing hop that Michele Gross puts together every month. Not only is it filled with fun, inspiration, and giveaways but it is also filled with awareness and a reminder that we all need to do our self examinations every month.

Now before I share my card I wanted to share a few fun facts about this hop... 50% of the profits from Callin' All Sistahs is donated to National Breast Cancer Foundation.  Totally AWESOME!!!  Second at the end of the hop you can find out how you can join us in next months blog hop.  And finally 3 lucky commenters from this hop will be winners, woot woot!

Ok, now onto my card for the blog hop...

To create this card I started with a white panel, I then stamped my ribbon image from the Hope Ribbon Stamp set three times starting with the lightest ink and stamping the hole image, then I used the medium pink and stamped 3/4's of the way up, and finally I inked the bottom on the ribbon with the darkest pink.  It should also be said that I used my Misti to make this layered inking possible.  I then stamped my sentiment along the bottom.  Next I laid the Hope Die Set over the center of the ribbon image and diecut it out.  I added a light pink paper behind the negative of the cut behind the stamped panel.  I then layered the positive cut slightly at an angle.  I then popped this whole panel onto some dark pink and acetate/foil card stock.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today, and hopefully it also reminded you to take some time and do your self examination.  From here you should hop along to the lovely Lydia Evans' Blog for more inspiration and another chance to win some goodies!  If you stumbled upon this blog hop then make sure you start from the beginning at the CAS-ual Friday's Blog for full details on how this hop works!

Happy Crafting/Checking/Hoping!
Lisa

Love the ombre look of the ribbon; also super clever of you to use a light pink for the negative of the die cut and then to offset the die cut slightly. Beautiful card.
