Hi! I am so happy to be able to take part in The Hop to Stop as it is all about raising awareness and reminding us of the pains and horrors others may be facing. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this hop is designed to raise awareness about domestic violence, an issue that impacts 1 in 4 women, and the resources that are available to assist victims of domestic violence. The color for raising awareness for this cause is purple, and I decided to focus my card on love...
I created this card by first laying some water onto my watercolor cardstock. I then dropped in three different purples from my Peerless Watercolors, dried them and continued layering them. Once it was fully dry I stamped my sentiment with Versafine Ink. The hearts were created by heat embossing onto foil before diecutting the various hearts out. I then popped some up with foam adhesive. I then distressed the edges with a distressing tool.
I am also linking this card up with the Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes Challenge
To find out more about Domestic Violence and it's affects please visit the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence. You will also find some statistics and facts about Domestic Violence by visiting this site too.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and make sure you hop along with us. Full details on the hop can be found on The Damsel of Distressed Cards Blog.

Anything But a Card Challenge
Hello! Today starts a new weekly challenge at SweetStamps.com, and we are asking you to share anything but a card with us this week! I decided to make a blank tag... sometimes I like to have these on hand so I can just write my own sentiment on the back and use it for any gift giving needs I may have...
To create this tag I started by diecutting my tag shape first and then layering with two shades of purple Peerless Water Colors. I made sure to lay lots of water on my tag before dropping the colors in and letting them mix. I then diecut several butterflies out of scraps I had sitting on my desk. The top layer is cut from a cardfront I had messed up on, but was already colored with various distress inks... I think I found the perfect solution for it, don't you?
I hope you will join us this week and share your anything but a card projects with us!
Happy Crafting!
