Fall Challenge with SweetStamps.com

Hi!  Today starts a new challenge at SweetStamps.com, and I had a ton of fun playing with my stamps and distress markers as I watercolored this card for the Fall theme...

To create this card I started by heat embossing my tree and sentiment with two different embossing powders.  Next I went about coloring with my markers and going back over with a wet brush.  I find it helpful to color only a little bit at a time and adding the water as you go.  If you let the colored part sit too long then it is harder to get the color to blend.  I also recommend using a thicker watercolor cardstock as you will be using lots of water. I just love the colors of trees in the Fall, so that is what inspired me most when I heard the title of this challenge.

I hope to see you play along as it is open to everyone and any products are allowed to be used.  If you have a SweetStamps.com image, die, or stencil (they carry these now too!) you will get a second entry, woot woot!

I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Use Watercolors

Happy Crafting!
Lisa
